Remover of obstacles; first to be invoked

ముదాకరాత్తమోదకం సదా విముక్తిసాధకం

He who holds a modak in a joyful hand, always the means of release,

కలాధరావతంసకం విలాసిలోకరక్షకమ్।

who wears the crescent as an ornament, who guards this shining world,

అనాయకైకనాయకం వినాశితేభదైత్యకం

the one leader of the leaderless, who destroyed the elephant demon,

నతాశుభాశునాశకం నమామి తం వినాయకమ్॥

who swiftly ends the ill fortune of those who bow — I bow to that Vinayaka.

నతేతరాతిభీకరం నవోదితార్కభాస్వరం

Terrible to the enemies of those who bow, bright as the newly risen sun,

నమత్సురారినిర్జరం నతాధికాపదుద్ధరమ్।

before whom the gods' foes wither, who lifts the bowed out of great danger,

సురేశ్వరం నిధీశ్వరం గజేశ్వరం గణేశ్వరం

lord of the gods, lord of treasures, lord of elephants, lord of the ganas,

మహేశ్వరం తమాశ్రయే పరాత్పరం నిరన్తరమ్॥

the great lord, higher than the highest — in him I take refuge, without pause.

సమస్తలోకశంకరం నిరస్తదైత్యకుఞ్జరం

Who does good to every world, who cast out the demon elephant,

దరేతరోదరం వరం వరేభవక్త్రమక్షరమ్।

whose belly is wide, the boon-giver, elephant-faced and imperishable,

కృపాకరం క్షమాకరం ముదాకరం యశస్కరం

maker of mercy, of forgiveness, of joy, of good name,

మనస్కరం నమస్కృతాం నమస్కరోమి భాస్వరమ్॥

who steadies the minds of those who bow — I bow to that shining one.

అకిఞ్చనార్తిమార్జనం చిరన్తనోక్తిభాజనం

Who wipes away the pain of the destitute, the vessel of the ancient word,

పురారిపూర్వనన్దనం సురారిగర్వచర్వణమ్।

the elder son of Shiva, the chewer of the pride of the gods' enemies,

ప్రపఞ్చనాశభీషణం ధనఞ్జయాదిభూషణం

fearsome in the undoing of the world, adorned with the serpent Dhananjaya,

కపోలదానవారణం భజే పురాణవారణమ్॥

whose temples run with ichor — I worship that ancient elephant.

నితాన్తకాన్తదన్తకాన్తిమన్తకాన్తకాత్మజం

Son of him who ended Death, lovely with the lustre of his one tusk,

అచిన్త్యరూపమన్తహీనమన్తరాయకృన్తనమ్।

of form beyond thought, without end, the cutter of every hindrance,

హృదన్తరే నిరన్తరం వసన్తమేవ యోగినాం

who dwells unceasingly within the hearts of yogis —

తమేకదన్తమేవ తం విచిన్తయామి సన్తతమ్॥

on that single-tusked one alone I meditate, always.

మహాగణేశపఞ్చరత్నమాదరేణ యోఽన్వహం

Whoever, with reverence, every day

ప్రజల్పతి ప్రభాతకే హృది స్మరన్ గణేశ్వరమ్।

recites these five jewels of Mahaganesha at dawn, holding Ganesh ji in the heart,

అరోగతామదోషతాం సుసాహితీం సుపుత్రతాం

soon gains good health, freedom from fault, a gift for words, good children,

సమాహితాయురష్టభూతిమభ్యుపైతి సోఽచిరాత్॥

a long and settled life, and the eight kinds of prosperity.
