Promises

What Kalava will never do

An almanac a family trusts is a calm one. These are the promises the app and this website are built on, and the app's own tests hold several of them.

No advertisements, ever

Not on this site and not in the app. Nothing on a page is there because someone paid for it to be.

No gemstones, no paid pujas, no remedy for sale

A reading may point to a diya, a mantra or a donation the app already holds. It never points to something sold, and the app's tests refuse any line that tries.

The exceptions, not the fear

Manglik, kaal sarp and sade sati are given with every exception the books print, and a finding set aside is still shown with its reason, so a family is never told half.

Your town, not someone else's

Every date and time is worked out for the place you live, on its own clock, and says which place it is for.

Your birth stays yours

The free tools compute in your browser. The app keeps your family on your phone and in your own iCloud, with no account and no sign-in.

Checked, and the checks published

Every festival is measured against the printed almanacs and the result is public, differences and all.

A door, never a lock

What is free is free in full. What is paid is described honestly and never shown blurred or invented under a veil.

No rashifal

A daily horoscope tells one person in twelve the same thing. Kalava reads a transit against a person's own chart, or not at all.
