O Ambe, You are Jagdamba, You are Kali. Glory to You, O Durga Maa, who bears the khappar.
తేరే హీ గుణ గాఏఁ భారతీ, ఓ మైయా హమ సబ ఉతారేం తేరీ ఆరతీ॥
O Bharati, it is Your glories alone that we sing. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
తేరే భక్త జనోం పర మాతా, భీర పడీ హై భారీ।
O Mata, a heavy affliction has fallen upon Your bhaktas.
దానవ దల పర టూట పడో మాఁ, కరకే సింహ సవారీ॥
O Maa, ride forth on Your lion and fall upon the hosts of the danavas.
సౌ-సౌ సింహోం సే తూ బలశాలీ, దస భుజాఓం వాలీ।
You are mightier than a hundred lions, O Maa of the ten arms.
దుఖియోం కే దుఖడే నివారతీ, ఓ మైయా హమ సబ ఉతారేం తేరీ ఆరతీ॥
You take away the sorrows of the sorrowing. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
మాఁ బేటే కా హై ఇస జగ మేం, బడా హీ నిర్మల నాతా।
In this world the bond between a mother and her child is the purest there is.
పూత కపూత సునే హైం పర న, మాతా సునీ కుమాతా॥
A son, it is said, may prove unworthy; but no one has ever heard of an unworthy mother.
సబ పర కరుణా దరసానే వాలీ, అమృత బరసానే వాలీ।
You show compassion to all; You rain down amrit.
దుఖియోం కే దుఖడే నివారతీ, ఓ మైయా హమ సబ ఉతారేం తేరీ ఆరతీ॥
You take away the sorrows of the sorrowing. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
నహీం మాంగతే ధన ఔర దౌలత, న చాఁదీ న సోనా।
We do not ask for money or riches, not silver and not gold.
హమ తో మాంగే మాఁ తేరే మన మేం, ఏక ఛోటా సా కోనా॥
All we ask of You, Maa, is one small corner in Your heart.
సబకీ బిగడీ బనానే వాలీ, లాజ బచానే వాలీ।
You set right what has gone wrong for everyone; You guard our honour.
సతియోం కే సత కో సఁవారతీ, ఓ మైయా హమ సబ ఉతారేం తేరీ ఆరతీ॥
You uphold the virtue of the virtuous. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
