અમ્બે તૂ હૈ જગદમ્બે કાલી, જય દુર્ગે ખપ્પર વાલી।
O Ambe, You are Jagdamba, You are Kali. Glory to You, O Durga Maa, who bears the khappar.
તેરે હી ગુણ ગાએઁ ભારતી, ઓ મૈયા હમ સબ ઉતારેં તેરી આરતી॥
O Bharati, it is Your glories alone that we sing. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
તેરે ભક્ત જનોં પર માતા, ભીર પડી હૈ ભારી।
O Mata, a heavy affliction has fallen upon Your bhaktas.
દાનવ દલ પર ટૂટ પડો માઁ, કરકે સિંહ સવારી॥
O Maa, ride forth on Your lion and fall upon the hosts of the danavas.
સૌ-સૌ સિંહોં સે તૂ બલશાલી, દસ ભુજાઓં વાલી।
You are mightier than a hundred lions, O Maa of the ten arms.
દુખિયોં કે દુખડે નિવારતી, ઓ મૈયા હમ સબ ઉતારેં તેરી આરતી॥
You take away the sorrows of the sorrowing. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
માઁ બેટે કા હૈ ઇસ જગ મેં, બડા હી નિર્મલ નાતા।
In this world the bond between a mother and her child is the purest there is.
પૂત કપૂત સુને હૈં પર ન, માતા સુની કુમાતા॥
A son, it is said, may prove unworthy; but no one has ever heard of an unworthy mother.
સબ પર કરુણા દરસાને વાલી, અમૃત બરસાને વાલી।
You show compassion to all; You rain down amrit.
દુખિયોં કે દુખડે નિવારતી, ઓ મૈયા હમ સબ ઉતારેં તેરી આરતી॥
You take away the sorrows of the sorrowing. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
નહીં માંગતે ધન ઔર દૌલત, ન ચાઁદી ન સોના।
We do not ask for money or riches, not silver and not gold.
હમ તો માંગે માઁ તેરે મન મેં, એક છોટા સા કોના॥
All we ask of You, Maa, is one small corner in Your heart.
સબકી બિગડી બનાને વાલી, લાજ બચાને વાલી।
You set right what has gone wrong for everyone; You guard our honour.
સતિયોં કે સત કો સઁવારતી, ઓ મૈયા હમ સબ ઉતારેં તેરી આરતી॥
You uphold the virtue of the virtuous. O Maiya, we all offer Your aarti.
