ప్రణమ్య శిరసా దేవం గౌరీపుత్రం వినాయకమ్।
Bowing my head to Vinayaka, the god who is Gauri's son,
భక్తావాసం స్మరేన్నిత్యమాయుఃకామార్థసిద్ధయే॥
who dwells among his devotees, remember him daily, for long life, for every wish and for prosperity.
ప్రథమం వక్రతుణ్డం చ ఏకదన్తం ద్వితీయకమ్।
First, Vakratunda, of the curved trunk; second, Ekadanta, of the single tusk;
తృతీయం కృష్ణపిఙ్గాక్షం గజవక్త్రం చతుర్థకమ్॥
third, Krishnapingaksha, of the dark and tawny eyes; fourth, Gajavaktra, the elephant-faced;
లమ్బోదరం పఞ్చమం చ షష్ఠం వికటమేవ చ।
fifth, Lambodara, of the great belly; sixth, Vikata, the mighty;
సప్తమం విఘ్నరాజం చ ధూమ్రవర్ణం తథాష్టమమ్॥
seventh, Vighnaraja, sovereign over all obstacles; eighth, Dhumravarna, the smoke-hued;
నవమం భాలచన్ద్రం చ దశమం తు వినాయకమ్।
ninth, Bhalachandra, the moon upon his brow; tenth, Vinayaka;
ఏకాదశం గణపతిం ద్వాదశం తు గజాననమ్॥
eleventh, Ganapati; and twelfth, Gajanana.
ద్వాదశైతాని నామాని త్రిసన్ధ్యం యః పఠేన్నరః।
Whoever reads these twelve names at the three sandhyas of the day
న చ విఘ్నభయం తస్య సర్వసిద్ధికరం ప్రభో॥
knows no fear of obstacles; O master, they bring every success.
విద్యార్థీ లభతే విద్యాం ధనార్థీ లభతే ధనమ్।
The seeker of learning gains learning; the seeker of wealth gains wealth;
పుత్రార్థీ లభతే పుత్రాన్ మోక్షార్థీ లభతే గతిమ్॥
one who longs for children is blessed with children; one who seeks liberation attains it.
జపేద్గణపతిస్తోత్రం షడ్భిర్మాసైః ఫలం లభేత్।
Say this stotra of Ganapati, and within six months its fruit is gained;
సంవత్సరేణ సిద్ధిం చ లభతే నాత్ర సంశయః॥
within a year, fulfilment — of this there is no doubt.
అష్టభ్యో బ్రాహ్మణేభ్యశ్చ లిఖిత్వా యః సమర్పయేత్।
Whoever writes it out and offers it to eight learned brahmins
తస్య విద్యా భవేత్సర్వా గణేశస్య ప్రసాదతః॥
gains all learning, by the grace of Ganesha.
