First, Vakratunda, of the curved trunk; second, Ekadanta, of the single tusk;
triteeyan krishnapingaakshan gajavaktran chaturthakam.
third, Krishnapingaksha, of the dark and tawny eyes; fourth, Gajavaktra, the elephant-faced;
lambodaran panchaman ch shashthan vikatamev ch.
fifth, Lambodara, of the great belly; sixth, Vikata, the mighty;
saptaman vighnaraajan ch dhoomravarnan tathaashtamam.
seventh, Vighnaraja, sovereign over all obstacles; eighth, Dhumravarna, the smoke-hued;
navaman bhaalachandran ch dashaman tu vinaayakam.
ninth, Bhalachandra, the moon upon his brow; tenth, Vinayaka;
ekaadashan ganapatin dvaadashan tu gajaananam.
eleventh, Ganapati; and twelfth, Gajanana.
dvaadashaitaani naamaani trisandhyan yah pathennarah.
Whoever reads these twelve names at the three sandhyas of the day
n ch vighnabhayan tasy sarvasiddhikaran prabho.
knows no fear of obstacles; O master, they bring every success.
vidyaarthee labhate vidyaan dhanaarthee labhate dhanam.
The seeker of learning gains learning; the seeker of wealth gains wealth;
putraarthee labhate putraan mokshaarthee labhate gatim.
one who longs for children is blessed with children; one who seeks liberation attains it.
japedganapatistotran shadbhirmaasaih phalan labhet.
Say this stotra of Ganapati, and within six months its fruit is gained;
sanvatsaren siddhin ch labhate naatr sanshayah.
within a year, fulfilment — of this there is no doubt.
ashtabhyo braahmanebhyashch likhitvaa yah samarpayet.
Whoever writes it out and offers it to eight learned brahmins
tasy vidyaa bhavetsarvaa ganeshasy prasaadatah.
gains all learning, by the grace of Ganesha.
