Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

satyanārāyaṇa svāmī, jana-pātaka-haraṇā.

O Satyanarayan Swami, You take away the sins of the people.

ratnajaḍita siṁhāsana, adbhuta chavi rājai.

On a jewelled throne Your wondrous form shines.

nārada karata nirājana, ghaṇṭā dhvani bājai.

Narad takes the aarti round You, and the bells ring out.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

prakaṭa bhaye kali kāraṇa, dvija ko darśa diyo.

For the sake of the Kali age You appeared, and gave darshan to a Brahmin.

būḍho brāhmaṇa banakara, kaṁcana mahala kiyo.

Taking the form of an old Brahmin, You made him a palace of gold.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

durbala bhīla kaṭhāro, jina para kr̥pā karī.

You showed Your grace to the poor Bhil woodcutter,

candracūḍa eka rājā, tinakī vipatti harī.

and for Chandrachud, a king, You took his misfortune away.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

vaiśya manoratha pāyo, śraddhā taja dīnhī.

The merchant had his wish fulfilled, then let go of his faith;

so phala bhogyo prabhujī, phira stuti kīnhīṁ.

he suffered what came of it, O Prabhu, and then sang Your praise again.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

bhāva bhakti ke kāraṇa, china-china rūpa dharayo.

For the sake of love and bhakti You took form again and again;

śraddhā dhāraṇa kīnī, tinako kāja sarayo.

those who held to their faith saw their work fulfilled.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

gvāla-bāla saṁga rājā, vana meṁ bhakti karī.

The king, with the cowherd boys, offered his bhakti in the forest;

manavāṁchita phala dīnhoṁ, dīnadayāla harī.

Hari, kind to the lowly, gave him all his heart desired.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

caḍhata prasāda savāyo, kadalī phala mevā.

The prasad is offered in a measure and a quarter, with bananas and dried fruit;

dhūpa-dīpa-tulasī se, rājī satyadevā.

with dhoop, the diya and tulsi, Satyadev is pleased.

jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā, svāmī jaya lakṣmī ramaṇā.

Victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi — O Swami, victory to You, beloved of Lakshmi.

satyanārāyaṇa jī kī āratī jo koī nara gāvai.

Whoever sings this aarti of Satyanarayan ji

tana-mana sukha saṁpatti manavāṁchita phala pāvai.

gains ease of body and mind, plenty, and all the heart desires.
