శుక్లామ్బరధరం విష్ణుం శశివర్ణం చతుర్భుజమ్ ।
ప్రసన్నవదనం ధ్యాయేత్ సర్వవిఘ్నోపశాన్తయే ॥
౧ ॥
Let one hold Vishnu ji in dhyana, clothed in white, bright as the moon, four-armed, His face serene, so that every obstacle is stilled.
యస్య ద్విరదవక్త్రాద్యాః పారిషద్యాః పరః శతమ్ ।
విఘ్నం నిఘ్నన్తి సతతం విష్వక్సేనం తమాశ్రయే ॥
౨ ॥
I take refuge in Vishvaksena, whose attendants, the elephant-faced one first among them, a hundred and more, strike down every obstacle for ever.
వ్యాసం వసిష్ఠనప్తారం శక్తేః పౌత్రమకల్మషమ్ ।
పరాశరాత్మజం వన్దే శుకతాతం తపోనిధిమ్ ॥
౩ ॥
I bow to Vyasa, great-grandson of Vasishtha, grandson of Shakti, son of Parashara and father of Shuka: without stain, a treasure of tapas.
వ్యాసాయ విష్ణురూపాయ వ్యాసరూపాయ విష్ణవే ।
నమో వై బ్రహ్మనిధయే వాసిష్ఠాయ నమో నమః ॥
౪ ॥
I bow to Vyasa, who is Vishnu in form, and to Vishnu ji, who is Vyasa in form; again and again I bow to him of Vasishtha's line, the treasure-house of the Veda.
అవికారాయ శుద్ధాయ నిత్యాయ పరమాత్మనే ।
సదైకరూపరూపాయ విష్ణవే సర్వజిష్ణవే ॥
౫ ॥
To Vishnu ji, the Supreme Self, who never changes, pure and eternal, always of one and the same form, victorious over all —
యస్య స్మరణమాత్రేణ జన్మసంసారబన్ధనాత్ ।
విముచ్యతే నమస్తస్మై విష్ణవే ప్రభవిష్ణవే ॥
౬ ॥
ఓం నమో విష్ణవే ప్రభవిష్ణవే ।
by merely remembering whom one is freed from the bondage of birth and the round of lives: I bow to that Vishnu, the all-powerful. Om, I bow to Vishnu ji, the all-powerful.
శ్రీవైశమ్పాయన ఉవాచ ।
శ్రుత్వా ధర్మానశేషేణ పావనాని చ సర్వశః ।
యుధిష్ఠిరః శాన్తనవం పునరేవాభ్యభాషత ॥
౭ ॥
Vaishampayana said: Having heard every dharma in full, and all that makes one pure, Yudhishthira spoke once more to Bhishma, the son of Shantanu.
యుధిష్ఠిర ఉవాచ ।
కిమేకం దైవతం లోకే కిం వాప్యేకం పరాయణమ్ ।
స్తువన్తః కం కమర్చన్తః ప్రాప్నుయుర్మానవాః శుభమ్ ॥
౮ ॥
Yudhishthira said: Who is the one Deva in the world? What is the one highest refuge? Praising whom, and offering puja to whom, may people reach what is good?
కో ధర్మః సర్వధర్మాణాం భవతః పరమో మతః ।
కిం జపన్ముచ్యతే జన్తుర్జన్మసంసారబన్ధనాత్ ॥
౯ ॥
Of all dharmas, which do you hold to be the highest? By saying what, over and over, is a living being freed from the bondage of birth and the round of lives?
భీష్మ ఉవాచ ।
జగత్ప్రభుం దేవదేవమనన్తం పురుషోత్తమమ్ ।
స్తువన్ నామసహస్రేణ పురుషః సతతోత్థితః ॥
౧౦ ॥
Bhishma said: A person who, ever ready, praises with the thousand names the Master of the world, the Deva of devas, the Endless One, the highest of beings —
తమేవ చార్చయన్నిత్యం భక్త్యా పురుషమవ్యయమ్ ।
ధ్యాయన్ స్తువన్ నమస్యంశ్చ యజమానస్తమేవ చ ॥
౧౧ ॥
who offers puja with bhakti every day to that same undying Being, holding Him in dhyana, praising Him, bowing to Him, and offering yajna to Him alone —
అనాదినిధనం విష్ణుం సర్వలోకమహేశ్వరమ్ ।
లోకాధ్యక్షం స్తువన్నిత్యం సర్వదుఃఖాతిగో భవేత్ ॥
౧౨ ॥
such a person, praising every day Vishnu ji — without beginning or end, the great Ishvara of all the worlds, the One who watches over them — goes beyond all sorrow.
బ్రహ్మణ్యం సర్వధర్మజ్ఞం లోకానాం కీర్తివర్ధనమ్ ।
లోకనాథం మహద్భూతం సర్వభూతభవోద్భవమ్ ॥
౧౩ ॥
He praises Him who cherishes the Veda and those who keep it, who knows every dharma, who makes the fame of the worlds grow; the Master of the worlds, the great Being, the source from which every being comes to be.
ఏష మే సర్వధర్మాణాం ధర్మోఽధికతమో మతః ।
యద్భక్త్యా పుణ్డరీకాక్షం స్తవైరర్చేన్నరః సదా ॥
౧౪ ॥
Of all dharmas, this I hold to be the greatest: that a person should always adore the lotus-eyed One with bhakti and with songs of praise.
పరమం యో మహత్తేజః పరమం యో మహత్తపః ।
పరమం యో మహద్బ్రహ్మ పరమం యః పరాయణమ్ ॥
౧౫ ॥
He who is the supreme great light, the supreme great tapas, the supreme great Brahman, the supreme refuge;
పవిత్రాణాం పవిత్రం యో మఙ్గలానాం చ మఙ్గలమ్ ।
దైవతం దేవతానాం చ భూతానాం యోఽవ్యయః పితా ॥
౧౬ ॥
He who is the purest of all that purifies, the most blessed of all that is blessed, the Deva of the devas, and the undying father of all beings;
యతః సర్వాణి భూతాని భవన్త్యాదియుగాగమే ।
యస్మింశ్చ ప్రలయం యాన్తి పునరేవ యుగక్షయే ॥
౧౭ ॥
from whom all beings come forth when the first age dawns, and into whom they go back, dissolving, when the age ends —
తస్య లోకప్రధానస్య జగన్నాథస్య భూపతే ।
విష్ణోర్నామసహస్రం మే శృణు పాపభయాపహమ్ ॥
౧౮ ॥
O king, hear from me the thousand names of that Vishnu, foremost in all the worlds, the Master of the universe — names that take away sin and fear.
యాని నామాని గౌణాని విఖ్యాతాని మహాత్మనః ।
ఋషిభిః పరిగీతాని తాని వక్ష్యామి భూతయే ॥
౧౯ ॥
The names of that great One which tell His qualities, which are well known and which the rishis have sung — these I shall tell you, for the good of all.
ఋషిర్నామ్నాం సహస్రస్య వేదవ్యాసో మహామునిః ।
ఛన్దోఽనుష్టుప్ తథా దేవో భగవాన్ దేవకీసుతః ॥
౨౦ ॥
The rishi of the thousand names is the great sage Veda Vyasa; the metre is anushtup; and the Deva is Bhagwan, the son of Devaki.
అమృతాంశూద్భవో బీజం శక్తిర్దేవకినన్దనః ।
త్రిసామా హృదయం తస్య శాన్త్యర్థే వినియుజ్యతే ॥
౨౧ ॥
Its seed is Amritamshudbhava, He from whom the moon was born; its power is Devakinandana, the joy of Devaki; its heart is Trisama, He who is praised in the three Samans. It is said for peace.
విష్ణుం జిష్ణుం మహావిష్ణుం ప్రభవిష్ణుం మహేశ్వరమ్ ।
అనేకరూపదైత్యాన్తం నమామి పురుషోత్తమమ్ ॥
౨౨ ॥
I bow to Vishnu ji, the ever-victorious, the great Vishnu, the all-powerful, the great Ishvara, who takes many forms and puts an end to the daityas — the highest of beings.
అస్య శ్రీవిష్ణోర్దివ్యసహస్రనామస్తోత్రమహామన్త్రస్య ।
శ్రీవేదవ్యాసో భగవాన్ ఋషిః ।
అనుష్టుప్ ఛన్దః ।
శ్రీమహావిష్ణుః పరమాత్మా శ్రీమన్నారాయణో దేవతా ।
అమృతాంశూద్భవో భానురితి బీజమ్ ।
దేవకీనన్దనః స్రష్టేతి శక్తిః ।
ఉద్భవః క్షోభణో దేవ ఇతి పరమో మన్త్రః ।
శఙ్ఖభృన్నన్దకీ చక్రీతి కీలకమ్ ।
శార్ఙ్గధన్వా గదాధర ఇత్యస్త్రమ్ ।
రథాఙ్గపాణిరక్షోభ్య ఇతి నేత్రమ్ ।
త్రిసామా సామగః సామేతి కవచమ్ ।
ఆనన్దం పరబ్రహ్మేతి యోనిః ।
ఋతుస్సుదర్శనః కాల ఇతి దిగ్బన్ధః ।
శ్రీవిశ్వరూప ఇతి ధ్యానమ్ ।
శ్రీమహావిష్ణుప్రీత్యర్థే సహస్రనామజపే వినియోగః ॥
Of this great mantra, the thousand names of Vishnu ji: the rishi is Bhagwan Veda Vyasa; the metre is anushtup; the Deva is Shri Mahavishnu, the Supreme Self, Shriman Narayana. The seed is 'Amritamshudbhavo Bhanuh'; the power is 'Devakinandanah Srashta'; the highest mantra is 'Udbhavah Kshobhano Devah'; the pin that holds it is 'Shankhabhrin Nandaki Chakri'; the weapon is 'Sharngadhanva Gadadharah'; the eye is 'Rathangapanir Akshobhyah'; the armour is 'Trisama Samagah Sama'; the source is 'Anandam Parabrahma'; the binding of the directions is 'Rituh Sudarshanah Kalah'; the dhyana is on Shri Vishvarupa, the form that is the universe. It is taken up as japa of the thousand names, to please Shri Mahavishnu.
క్షీరోదన్వత్ప్రదేశే శుచిమణివిలసత్సైకతే మౌక్తికానాం
మాలాకౢప్తాసనస్థః స్ఫటికమణినిభైర్మౌక్తికైర్మణ్డితాఙ్గః ।
శుభ్రైరభ్రైరదభ్రైరుపరివిరచితైర్ముక్తపీయూషవర్షై-
రానన్దీ నః పునీయాదరినలినగదాశఙ్ఖపాణిర్ముకున్దః ॥
౧ ॥
On the shore of the ocean of milk, on sands shining with pure gems, seated on a throne of pearl garlands, His body adorned with pearls clear as crystal, while full white clouds above pour down showers of nectar — may Mukunda, full of joy, who holds the discus, the lotus, the mace and the conch, make us pure.
భూః పాదౌ యస్య నాభిర్వియదసురనిలశ్చన్ద్రసూర్యౌ చ నేత్రే
కర్ణావాశాః శిరో ద్యౌర్ముఖమపి దహనో యస్య వాస్తేయమబ్ధిః ।
అన్తఃస్థం యస్య విశ్వం సురనరఖగగోభోగిగన్ధర్వదైత్యైః
చిత్రం రంరమ్యతే తం త్రిభువనవపుషం విష్ణుమీశం నమామి ॥
౨ ॥
ఓం నమో భగవతే వాసుదేవాయ ।
The earth is His feet, the sky His navel, the wind His breath, the moon and the sun His eyes; the directions are His ears, the heavens His head, fire His mouth and the ocean His belly. Within Him the whole universe — devas, people, birds, cattle, serpents, gandharvas and daityas — moves and plays in wonder. I bow to Vishnu ji, the Ishvara, whose body is the three worlds. Om, I bow to Bhagwan Vasudeva.
శాన్తాకారం భుజగశయనం పద్మనాభం సురేశం
విశ్వాధారం గగనసదృశం మేఘవర్ణం శుభాఙ్గమ్ ।
లక్ష్మీకాన్తం కమలనయనం యోగిహృద్ధ్యానగమ్యం
వన్దే విష్ణుం భవభయహరం సర్వలోకైకనాథమ్ ॥
౩ ॥
I bow to Vishnu ji: peaceful in form, resting on the serpent, the lotus at His navel, Ruler of the devas; the support of the universe, vast as the sky, dark as a rain cloud, beautiful in every limb; beloved of Lakshmi Maa, lotus-eyed, reached by yogis in dhyana in the heart; He who takes away the fear of worldly life, the one Master of all the worlds.
మేఘశ్యామం పీతకౌశేయవాసం
శ్రీవత్సాఙ్కం కౌస్తుభోద్భాసితాఙ్గమ్ ।
పుణ్యోపేతం పుణ్డరీకాయతాక్షం
విష్ణుం వన్దే సర్వలోకైకనాథమ్ ॥
౪ ॥
I bow to Vishnu ji, dark as a rain cloud, clothed in yellow silk, bearing the Shrivatsa mark, His body shining with the Kaustubha gem; full of all that is good, with long eyes like lotus petals, the one Master of all the worlds.
నమః సమస్తభూతానామాదిభూతాయ భూభృతే ।
అనేకరూపరూపాయ విష్ణవే ప్రభవిష్ణవే ॥
౫ ॥
I bow to Vishnu ji, the all-powerful, the first of all beings, who upholds the earth and takes form upon form.
సశఙ్ఖచక్రం సకిరీటకుణ్డలం
సపీతవస్త్రం సరసీరుహేక్షణమ్ ।
సహారవక్షఃస్థలశోభికౌస్తుభం
నమామి విష్ణుం శిరసా చతుర్భుజమ్ ॥
౬ ॥
I bow my head to four-armed Vishnu ji, with conch and discus, crown and earrings, clothed in yellow, lotus-eyed, the Kaustubha shining on His chest among the garlands.
ఛాయాయాం పారిజాతస్య హేమసింహాసనోపరి
ఆసీనమమ్బుదశ్యామమాయతాక్షమలంకృతమ్ ।
చన్ద్రాననం చతుర్బాహుం శ్రీవత్సాఙ్కితవక్షసం
రుక్మిణీసత్యభామాభ్యాం సహితం కృష్ణమాశ్రయే ॥
౭ ॥
I take refuge in Krishna, seated on a golden throne in the shade of the parijata tree, dark as a rain cloud, long-eyed and adorned, His face like the moon, four-armed, the Shrivatsa on His chest, with Rukmini and Satyabhama beside Him.
హరిః ఓం ।
విశ్వం విష్ణుర్వషట్కారో భూతభవ్యభవత్ప్రభుః ।
భూతకృద్భూతభృద్భావో భూతాత్మా భూతభావనః ॥
౧ ॥
Hari Om. He who is the universe itself and pervades it all; He for whom the vashat is called at the yajna; the Master of past, future and present; He who makes all beings and sustains them, who is their very being and their Self, and who brings them forth and nurtures them.
పూతాత్మా పరమాత్మా చ ముక్తానాం పరమా గతిః ।
అవ్యయః పురుషః సాక్షీ క్షేత్రజ్ఞోఽక్షర ఏవ చ ॥
౨ ॥
He whose Self is pure; the Supreme Self; the highest goal of the freed; the Undecaying; the Purusha who dwells in every body; the Witness; the Knower of the field; the Imperishable.
యోగో యోగవిదాం నేతా ప్రధానపురుషేశ్వరః ।
నారసింహవపుః శ్రీమాన్ కేశవః పురుషోత్తమః ॥
౩ ॥
He who is reached through yoga; the Guide of those who know yoga; the Ruler of prakriti and of the soul; He who took the form of the man-lion; He with whom Shri dwells; Keshava, of the beautiful hair; the highest of beings.
సర్వః శర్వః శివః స్థాణుర్భూతాదిర్నిధిరవ్యయః ।
సమ్భవో భావనో భర్తా ప్రభవః ప్రభురీశ్వరః ॥
౪ ॥
He who is all; He who dissolves all; the Pure One beyond the three gunas; the Unmoving; the First of the elements; the undecaying treasure into which all returns; He who appears of His own will; the Giver of fruits; the Upholder; the Source of all; the Mighty; the Ruler.
స్వయమ్భూః శమ్భురాదిత్యః పుష్కరాక్షో మహాస్వనః ।
అనాదినిధనో ధాతా విధాతా ధాతురుత్తమః ॥
౫ ॥
He who is self-born; the Giver of happiness; the golden Being within the sun; the lotus-eyed; He of the mighty voice; without beginning or end; the Upholder of all; the Ordainer of acts and their fruits; higher even than Brahma the creator.
అప్రమేయో హృషీకేశః పద్మనాభోఽమరప్రభుః ।
విశ్వకర్మా మనుస్త్వష్టా స్థవిష్ఠః స్థవిరో ధ్రువః ॥
౬ ॥
He who cannot be measured; Hrishikesha, the Master of the senses; He from whose navel the lotus rose; the Ruler of the devas; the Maker of the universe; the Thinker; He who wears all things thin at the end; the Most Vast; the Ancient One; the Unshaken.
అగ్రాహ్యః శాశ్వతః కృష్ణో లోహితాక్షః ప్రతర్దనః ।
ప్రభూతస్త్రికకుబ్ధామ పవిత్రం మఙ్గలం పరమ్ ॥
౭ ॥
He whom the senses cannot grasp; the Eternal; Krishna, the dark One; the red-eyed; He who ends all at the dissolution; He who is full of every excellence; the support of the three regions, above, below and between; He who purifies; the highest good.
ఈశానః ప్రాణదః ప్రాణో జ్యేష్ఠః శ్రేష్ఠః ప్రజాపతిః ।
హిరణ్యగర్భో భూగర్భో మాధవో మధుసూదనః ॥
౮ ॥
He who rules all; the Giver of life; Life itself; the Eldest; the Most Excellent; the Master of all creatures; Hiranyagarbha, the golden womb; He who holds the earth within Him; Madhava, the beloved of Lakshmi Maa; Madhusudana, who slew the asura Madhu.
ఈశ్వరో విక్రమీ ధన్వీ మేధావీ విక్రమః క్రమః ।
అనుత్తమో దురాధర్షః కృతజ్ఞః కృతిరాత్మవాన్ ॥
౯ ॥
He who is almighty; the Valiant; the Archer; the Wise; He who strides through the worlds; He who pervades all; the Unsurpassed; He whom none can overcome; He who knows every deed done; He who is all action; He who rests in His own Self.
సురేశః శరణం శర్మ విశ్వరేతాః ప్రజాభవః ।
అహః సంవత్సరో వ్యాలః ప్రత్యయః సర్వదర్శనః ॥
౧౦ ॥
He who rules the devas; the Refuge; supreme Bliss; the Seed of the universe; the Source of all creatures; the Day that wakes all; the Year; He who cannot be seized, like a serpent; Knowledge itself; He who sees all.
అజః సర్వేశ్వరః సిద్ధః సిద్ధిః సర్వాదిరచ్యుతః ।
వృషాకపిరమేయాత్మా సర్వయోగవినిఃసృతః ॥
౧౧ ॥
He who is unborn; the Ruler of all; the ever-perfect; Fulfilment itself; the Beginning of all; Achyuta, who never falls from what He is; Vrishakapi, dharma itself, who raised the earth as the boar; He whose Self cannot be measured; He who stands free of every bond.
వసుర్వసుమనాః సత్యః సమాత్మాఽసమ్మితః సమః ।
అమోఘః పుణ్డరీకాక్షో వృషకర్మా వృషాకృతిః ॥
౧౨ ॥
He who dwells in all, and in whom all dwell; He whose mind is generous; the Truth; He who is the same towards all; He who is beyond all measure; He who is ever even; He whose grace never fails; the lotus-eyed; He whose deeds are dharma; He whose form is dharma.
రుద్రో బహుశిరా బభ్రుర్విశ్వయోనిః శుచిశ్రవాః ।
అమృతః శాశ్వతస్థాణుర్వరారోహో మహాతపాః ॥
౧౩ ॥
He who is Rudra, who makes all weep at the end; the many-headed; the Bearer of the worlds; the Womb of the universe; He whose names are pure to hear; the Deathless; the eternal and unmoving; the highest to be reached, from which none returns; He of great tapas.
సర్వగః సర్వవిద్భానుర్విష్వక్సేనో జనార్దనః ।
వేదో వేదవిదవ్యఙ్గో వేదాఙ్గో వేదవిత్ కవిః ॥
౧౪ ॥
He who goes everywhere; He who knows all and shines; He before whose army the asuras scatter; Janardana, whom people pray to and wrongdoers fear; the Veda itself; the Knower of the Veda; He who lacks nothing; He whose limbs are the Vedangas; He who reflects on the Veda; the Seer.
లోకాధ్యక్షః సురాధ్యక్షో ధర్మాధ్యక్షః కృతాకృతః ।
చతురాత్మా చతుర్వ్యూహశ్చతుర్దంష్ట్రశ్చతుర్భుజః ॥
౧౫ ॥
He who watches over the worlds, over the devas, and over dharma and adharma; He who is both what is made and what is unmade; He of four selves; He of four forms, Vasudeva, Sankarshana, Pradyumna and Aniruddha; He with four tusks as the man-lion; He with four arms.
భ్రాజిష్ణుర్భోజనం భోక్తా సహిష్ణుర్జగదాదిజః ।
అనఘో విజయో జేతా విశ్వయోనిః పునర్వసుః ॥
౧౬ ॥
He who is pure radiance; the food that is offered; the Enjoyer of it; He who bears with all; the First-born, before the world; the Sinless; Victory itself; the Conqueror; the Source of the universe; He who dwells again and again in every body.
ఉపేన్ద్రో వామనః ప్రాంశురమోఘః శుచిరూర్జితః ।
అతీన్ద్రః సఙ్గ్రహః సర్గో ధృతాత్మా నియమో యమః ॥
౧౭ ॥
He who is Upendra, Indra's younger brother; Vamana, the dwarf; the Towering One, who grew to span the worlds; He whose acts never fail; the Pure; the Mighty; He who surpasses Indra; He who gathers all into Himself; He who is creation; He who holds His Self steady; He who sets each in its place; He who governs from within.
వేద్యో వైద్యః సదాయోగీ వీరహా మాధవో మధుః ।
అతీన్ద్రియో మహామాయో మహోత్సాహో మహాబలః ॥
౧౮ ॥
He who is to be known; the Healer of the illness of birth; He who is ever in yoga; the Slayer of mighty asuras; Madhava, the Master of knowledge; He who is sweet as honey; He who is beyond the senses; the great Enchanter; He of great zeal; He of great strength.
మహాబుద్ధిర్మహావీర్యో మహాశక్తిర్మహాద్యుతిః ।
అనిర్దేశ్యవపుః శ్రీమానమేయాత్మా మహాద్రిధృక్ ॥
౧౯ ॥
He of great wisdom, great valour, great power and great splendour; He whose form cannot be described; He who is full of glory; He whose Self is beyond measure; He who held up the great mountain.
మహేష్వాసో మహీభర్తా శ్రీనివాసః సతాం గతిః ।
అనిరుద్ధః సురానన్దో గోవిన్దో గోవిదాం పతిః ॥
౨౦ ॥
He who is the great archer; He who upholds the earth; Shrinivasa, the dwelling of Shri; the refuge of the good; Aniruddha, whom none can hold back; the joy of the devas; Govinda; the Master of those who know the Veda.
మరీచిర్దమనో హంసః సుపర్ణో భుజగోత్తమః ।
హిరణ్యనాభః సుతపాః పద్మనాభః ప్రజాపతిః ॥
౨౧ ॥
He who is the brilliance of the brilliant; He who restrains the wrongdoer; the Swan; Suparna, the fair-winged; Shesha, the best of serpents; He of the golden navel; He of fine tapas; He of the lotus navel; the Master of creatures.
అమృత్యుః సర్వదృక్ సింహః సన్ధాతా సన్ధిమాన్ స్థిరః ।
అజో దుర్మర్షణః శాస్తా విశ్రుతాత్మా సురారిహా ॥
౨౨ ॥
He who is beyond death; He who sees all; the Lion; He who joins each act to its fruit; He who enjoys those fruits; the Steadfast; the Unborn; He whom the asuras cannot bear; He who rules through the scriptures; He whose nature is renowned; the Slayer of the enemies of the devas.
గురుర్గురుతమో ధామ సత్యః సత్యపరాక్రమః ।
నిమిషోఽనిమిషః స్రగ్వీ వాచస్పతిరుదారధీః ॥
౨౩ ॥
He who is the Teacher; the greatest Teacher; the Abode of all and the supreme light; the True; He whose valour is true; He whose eyes close in yoga-sleep; He who never blinks, ever watchful; He who wears the Vaijayanti garland; the Master of speech; He whose understanding is vast.
అగ్రణీర్గ్రామణీః శ్రీమాన్ న్యాయో నేతా సమీరణః ।
సహస్రమూర్ధా విశ్వాత్మా సహస్రాక్షః సహస్రపాత్ ॥
౨౪ ॥
He who leads to the highest; the Leader of all beings; the Glorious; Justice itself; the Guide; He who moves all as the breath; the thousand-headed; the Self of the universe; the thousand-eyed; the thousand-footed.
ఆవర్తనో నివృత్తాత్మా సంవృతః సమ్ప్రమర్దనః ।
అహః సంవర్తకో వహ్నిరనిలో ధరణీధరః ॥
౨౫ ॥
He who turns the wheel of the world; He whose Self stands free of it; He who is veiled from those lost in ignorance; He who crushes the wicked; the Sun who brings on the day; Fire; the Wind; He who holds up the earth.
సుప్రసాదః ప్రసన్నాత్మా విశ్వధృగ్విశ్వభుగ్విభుః ।
సత్కర్తా సత్కృతః సాధుర్జహ్నుర్నారాయణో నరః ॥
౨౬ ॥
He whose grace is abundant; He whose Self is serene; He who upholds the universe and sustains it; the All-pervading; He who honours the good; He who is honoured by the honoured; the Righteous; He who draws all into Himself at the end; Narayana, the refuge of all beings; Nara, the eternal Guide.
అసఙ్ఖ్యేయోఽప్రమేయాత్మా విశిష్టః శిష్టకృచ్ఛుచిః ।
సిద్ధార్థః సిద్ధసఙ్కల్పః సిద్ధిదః సిద్ధిసాధనః ॥
౨౭ ॥
He whose names and forms are countless; He whose Self is beyond measure; the Most Excellent; He who commands and guards the good; the Pure; He whose every aim is fulfilled; He whose every resolve comes true; the Giver of fulfilment; the Means of fulfilment.
వృషాహీ వృషభో విష్ణుర్వృషపర్వా వృషోదరః ।
వర్ధనో వర్ధమానశ్చ వివిక్తః శ్రుతిసాగరః ॥
౨౮ ॥
He who is the light of every day of dharma; He who showers blessings; Vishnu; He who is the stairway of dharma; He who holds dharma within Him; He who makes all grow; He who grows into the world; He who stands apart from all; the Ocean of the Vedas.
సుభుజో దుర్ధరో వాగ్మీ మహేన్ద్రో వసుదో వసుః ।
నైకరూపో బృహద్రూపః శిపివిష్టః ప్రకాశనః ॥
౨౯ ॥
He whose arms are fair and strong; He whom none can hold; the Eloquent, from whom the Veda came; Mahendra, the Ruler of rulers; the Giver of wealth; Wealth itself; He of many forms; He of vast form; He who dwells in the rays and in the yajna; He who makes all shine.
ఓజస్తేజోద్యుతిధరః ప్రకాశాత్మా ప్రతాపనః ।
ఋద్ధః స్పష్టాక్షరో మన్త్రశ్చన్ద్రాంశుర్భాస్కరద్యుతిః ॥
౩౦ ॥
He who holds might, power and splendour; He whose Self is light; He who scorches with His heat; He who is rich in every excellence; He whose word is the clear syllable Om; the Mantra; the cool ray of the moon; the brilliance of the sun.
అమృతాంశూద్భవో భానుః శశబిన్దుః సురేశ్వరః ।
ఔషధం జగతః సేతుః సత్యధర్మపరాక్రమః ॥
౩౧ ॥
He from whom the moon was born; the Shining One; the moon who nourishes all that grows; the Ruler of the devas; the medicine for the illness of worldly life; the bridge across the world; He whose knowledge, dharma and valour are true.
భూతభవ్యభవన్నాథః పవనః పావనోఽనలః ।
కామహా కామకృత్కాన్తః కామః కామప్రదః ప్రభుః ॥
౩౨ ॥
He who is the Master of past, future and present; the Purifying wind; He who makes pure; the Fire of life; He who ends desire in those who seek freedom; He who fulfils the wishes of the good; the Lovely; He who is longed for; the Giver of what is longed for; the Mighty.
యుగాదికృద్యుగావర్తో నైకమాయో మహాశనః ।
అదృశ్యో వ్యక్తరూపశ్చ సహస్రజిదనన్తజిత్ ॥
౩౩ ॥
He who begins the yugas; He who turns the yugas round; He of many a maya; the great Devourer at the end of the kalpa; the Unseen; He whose form is plain to see; the Conqueror of thousands; the Conqueror of the endless.
ఇష్టోఽవిశిష్టః శిష్టేష్టః శిఖణ్డీ నహుషో వృషః ।
క్రోధహా క్రోధకృత్కర్తా విశ్వబాహుర్మహీధరః ॥
౩౪ ॥
He who is loved and offered yajna; He who dwells in all alike; the Beloved of the wise; He who wears the peacock feather; He who binds all with His maya; He who is dharma; He who quells the anger of the good; He who turns His anger on the wicked; the Doer; He whose arms are everywhere; He who upholds the earth.
అచ్యుతః ప్రథితః ప్రాణః ప్రాణదో వాసవానుజః ।
అపాంనిధిరధిష్ఠానమప్రమత్తః ప్రతిష్ఠితః ॥
౩౫ ॥
He who never falls from what He is; the Renowned; Life itself; the Giver of life; the younger brother of Indra; the treasure-house of the waters, the ocean; the Ground on which all rests; the ever-watchful; He who stands in His own glory.
స్కన్దః స్కన్దధరో ధుర్యో వరదో వాయువాహనః ।
వాసుదేవో బృహద్భానురాదిదేవః పురన్దరః ॥
౩౬ ॥
He who flows as nectar; He who upholds the path of dharma; the Bearer of the world's burden; the Giver of boons; He who makes the winds move; Vasudeva; He of the vast radiance; the first Deva; the Breaker of the asuras' cities.
అశోకస్తారణస్తారః శూరః శౌరిర్జనేశ్వరః ।
అనుకూలః శతావర్తః పద్మీ పద్మనిభేక్షణః ॥
౩౭ ॥
He who is beyond sorrow; He who carries across the ocean of life; He who saves from fear; the Valiant; Shauri, born in Shura's line; the Ruler of all people; He who is kind to all; He who came a hundred times; He who holds the lotus; He whose eyes are like lotuses.
పద్మనాభోఽరవిన్దాక్షః పద్మగర్భః శరీరభృత్ ।
మహర్ధిరృద్ధో వృద్ధాత్మా మహాక్షో గరుడధ్వజః ॥
౩౮ ॥
He from whose navel the lotus rose; the lotus-eyed; He who is adored within the lotus of the heart; He who takes on a body and sustains every body; He of great glory; He who grows as the world; the Ancient Self; He of the great eyes; He whose banner bears Garuda.
అతులః శరభో భీమః సమయజ్ఞో హవిర్హరిః ।
సర్వలక్షణలక్షణ్యో లక్ష్మీవాన్ సమితిఞ్జయః ॥
౩౯ ॥
He who is beyond compare; He who shines as the Self within every body; the Awesome, whom wrongdoers fear; He who knows the right time for all things; Hari, who receives the offering; He who is known by every sign and proof; He on whose breast Lakshmi Maa dwells; the Victor in every battle.
విక్షరో రోహితో మార్గో హేతుర్దామోదరః సహః ।
మహీధరో మహాభాగో వేగవానమితాశనః ॥
౪౦ ॥
He who never wanes; He who took the form of the red fish; the Path that seekers take; the Cause of all; Damodara, bound at the waist by Yashoda's cord; He who bears with all; the upholder of the earth; He of great fortune; the Swift; He whose hunger at the end has no measure.
ఉద్భవః క్షోభణో దేవః శ్రీగర్భః పరమేశ్వరః ।
కరణం కారణం కర్తా వికర్తా గహనో గుహః ॥
౪౧ ॥
He from whom all arises; He who stirs prakriti and purusha into creation; the Shining One; He who holds all glory within Him; the Supreme Ishvara; the Instrument of creation; its Cause; the Doer; He who makes the world's variety; the Unfathomable; He who hides Himself by His maya.
వ్యవసాయో వ్యవస్థానః సంస్థానః స్థానదో ధ్రువః ।
పరర్ధిః పరమస్పష్టస్తుష్టః పుష్టః శుభేక్షణః ॥
౪౨ ॥
He who is pure knowing; the Ground in which all is set in order; the End in which all rests; He who gives each their rightful place; the Fixed; He of supreme glory; He who is supremely clear; the Contented; the Full; He whose glance brings good.
రామో విరామో విరజో మార్గో నేయో నయోఽనయః ।
వీరః శక్తిమతాం శ్రేష్ఠో ధర్మో ధర్మవిదుత్తమః ॥
౪౩ ॥
He in whom yogis rejoice; He in whom all comes to rest; the Stainless; the Path; He who is led by love; the Leader; He whom none can lead; the Valiant; the best of the mighty; Dharma itself; the highest of those who know dharma.
వైకుణ్ఠః పురుషః ప్రాణః ప్రాణదః ప్రణవః పృథుః ।
హిరణ్యగర్భః శత్రుఘ్నో వ్యాప్తో వాయురధోక్షజః ॥
౪౪ ॥
He who is Vaikuntha, who brings the scattered elements together; the Purusha; Life; the Giver of life; the Pranava, Om; the Vast; the golden womb; the Destroyer of foes; the All-pervading; the Wind; Adhokshaja, whom the senses never reach.
ఋతుః సుదర్శనః కాలః పరమేష్ఠీ పరిగ్రహః ।
ఉగ్రః సంవత్సరో దక్షో విశ్రామో విశ్వదక్షిణః ॥
౪౫ ॥
He who is the seasons; He whose sight is a blessing; Time; He who abides in His own supreme glory; He who receives all that is offered; the Fierce; the Year; the Skilful; the Rest of those who seek freedom; the most generous in all the world.
విస్తారః స్థావరస్థాణుః ప్రమాణం బీజమవ్యయమ్ ।
అర్థోఽనర్థో మహాకోశో మహాభోగో మహాధనః ॥
౪౬ ॥
He in whom the worlds are spread out; the Firm and Unmoving, in whom all rests; the Proof, pure awareness; the undecaying Seed; He whom all seek; He who seeks nothing; He who is veiled in the great sheaths; He of great joy; He of great wealth.
అనిర్విణ్ణః స్థవిష్ఠోఽభూర్ధర్మయూపో మహామఖః ।
నక్షత్రనేమిర్నక్షత్రీ క్షమః క్షామః సమీహనః ॥
౪౭ ॥
He who is never weary; the Vast; the Unborn; the post to which dharma is tied; the great yajna; the hub of the wheel of stars; the moon among the stars; the Able; He who remains when all has wasted away; He who wills creation.
యజ్ఞ ఇజ్యో మహేజ్యశ్చ క్రతుః సత్రం సతాం గతిః ।
సర్వదర్శీ విముక్తాత్మా సర్వజ్ఞో జ్ఞానముత్తమమ్ ॥
౪౮ ॥
He who is the yajna; He to whom yajna is offered; the most worthy of it; the kratu, the yajna with its post; the satra, the long yajna that guards the good; the refuge of the good; He who sees all; the ever-free Self; the All-knowing; the highest knowledge.
సువ్రతః సుముఖః సూక్ష్మః సుఘోషః సుఖదః సుహృత్ ।
మనోహరో జితక్రోధో వీరబాహుర్విదారణః ॥
౪౯ ॥
He who keeps the good vrat of protecting all who seek Him; He whose face is lovely; the Subtle; He whose voice is sweet; the Giver of happiness; the Friend of all; He who steals the heart; He who has conquered anger; He of mighty arms; He who tears the wicked apart.
స్వాపనః స్వవశో వ్యాపీ నైకాత్మా నైకకర్మకృత్ ।
వత్సరో వత్సలో వత్సీ రత్నగర్భో ధనేశ్వరః ॥
౫౦ ॥
He who lulls the unknowing into the sleep of maya; He who is His own master; the All-pervading; He of many selves; He who does many deeds; He in whom all dwells; He who loves those who love Him; He who cherishes all as His calves; He who holds jewels within, as the ocean; the Master of wealth.
ధర్మగుబ్ధర్మకృద్ధర్మీ సదసత్క్షరమక్షరమ్ ।
అవిజ్ఞాతా సహస్రాంశుర్విధాతా కృతలక్షణః ॥
౫౧ ॥
He who guards dharma, does dharma and upholds dharma; He who is both what is and what is not, the perishable and the imperishable; He who is no limited knower; the thousand-rayed sun; the Ordainer; He who gave the scriptures.
గభస్తినేమిః సత్త్వస్థః సింహో భూతమహేశ్వరః ।
ఆదిదేవో మహాదేవో దేవేశో దేవభృద్గురుః ॥
౫౨ ॥
He who is the sun, the hub of the wheel of rays; He who dwells in all beings; the Lion; the great Ruler of all beings; the first Deva; the great Deva; the Ruler of the devas; the Teacher even of Indra, who upholds the devas.
ఉత్తరో గోపతిర్గోప్తా జ్ఞానగమ్యః పురాతనః ।
శరీరభూతభృద్భోక్తా కపీన్ద్రో భూరిదక్షిణః ॥
౫౩ ॥
He who lifts us across the ocean of birth; the Master of the cows and of the earth; the Protector; He who is reached through knowledge; the Ancient; He who sustains the elements that make the body; the Enjoyer; the great Boar, and the Master of the monkeys as Rama; He who gave abundant gifts at His yajnas.
సోమపోఽమృతపః సోమః పురుజిత్పురుసత్తమః ।
వినయో జయః సత్యసన్ధో దాశార్హః సాత్వతామ్పతిః ॥
౫౪ ॥
He who drinks the soma at every yajna; He who drinks the nectar of His own bliss; He who, as the moon, nourishes the plants; He who conquers many; the best of the many; He who disciplines the wicked; Victory; He whose resolve is always true; Dasharha, born in the Dasharha line; the Master of the Satvatas.
జీవో వినయితా సాక్షీ ముకున్దోఽమితవిక్రమః ।
అమ్భోనిధిరనన్తాత్మా మహోదధిశయోఽన్తకః ॥
౫౫ ॥
He who is the life in every being; He who sees how all creatures conduct themselves; the Witness; Mukunda, the Giver of freedom; He whose strides have no measure; the Ocean, in whom the waters rest; the Infinite Self; He who lies on the great ocean; the End of all things.
అజో మహార్హః స్వాభావ్యో జితామిత్రః ప్రమోదనః ।
ఆనన్దో నన్దనో నన్దః సత్యధర్మా త్రివిక్రమః ॥
౫౬ ॥
He who is unborn; the most worthy of puja; He who is ever in His own nature; the Conqueror of every foe; He who delights those who hold Him in dhyana; Bliss itself; He who gives joy; He who is full of every joy; He whose dharma is true; Trivikrama, whose three strides spanned the worlds.
మహర్షిః కపిలాచార్యః కృతజ్ఞో మేదినీపతిః ।
త్రిపదస్త్రిదశాధ్యక్షో మహాశృఙ్గః కృతాన్తకృత్ ॥
౫౭ ॥
He who is the great rishi Kapila, the teacher; He who knows the made world and all who act in it; the Master of the earth; He of the three strides; the Guardian of the devas; the great-horned fish who saved Manu's boat; He who ends even Death.
మహావరాహో గోవిన్దః సుషేణః కనకాఙ్గదీ ।
గుహ్యో గభీరో గహనో గుప్తశ్చక్రగదాధరః ॥
౫౮ ॥
He who is the great Boar; Govinda, known through the Vedanta; He whose host is splendid; He who wears golden armlets; the Hidden; the Deep; the Unfathomable; He who is kept secret from word and thought; He who bears the discus and the mace.
వేధాః స్వాఙ్గోఽజితః కృష్ణో దృఢః సఙ్కర్షణోఽచ్యుతః ।
వరుణో వారుణో వృక్షః పుష్కరాక్షో మహామనాః ॥
౫౯ ॥
He who is the Maker; He who is Himself the means of all He does; the Unconquered; Krishna Dvaipayana; the Firm; Sankarshana, who draws all in and never falls; Varuna of the waters; Varuna's son; the Tree that stands unmoved; the lotus-eyed; the great-minded, who makes, keeps and ends all by His will alone.
భగవాన్ భగహాఽఽనన్దీ వనమాలీ హలాయుధః ।
ఆదిత్యో జ్యోతిరాదిత్యః సహిష్ణుర్గతిసత్తమః ॥
౬౦ ॥
He who is Bhagwan, full of the six glories; He who takes those glories back at the end; the Joyful; He who wears the garland of forest flowers; He who bears the plough as Balarama; Aditi's son, Vamana; the Sun, the light of lights; He who bears the pairs of opposites; the best of refuges.
సుధన్వా ఖణ్డపరశుర్దారుణో ద్రవిణప్రదః ।
దివస్పృక్ సర్వదృగ్వ్యాసో వాచస్పతిరయోనిజః ॥
౬౧ ॥
He who bears the fine bow Sharnga; He whose axe cuts down His foes, as Parashurama; the Stern to wrongdoers; the Giver of wealth; He who touches the sky; He who sees all; Vyasa, who arranged the Veda; the Master of learning; He who was born of no womb.
త్రిసామా సామగః సామ నిర్వాణం భేషజం భిషక్ ।
సన్న్యాసకృచ్ఛమః శాన్తో నిష్ఠా శాన్తిః పరాయణమ్ ॥
౬౨ ॥
He who is praised in the three Samans; the Singer of the Saman; the Saman itself; Nirvana, the end of every bond; the Medicine; the Physician; He who gave the path of sannyasa; Calm; the Peaceful; the ground on which all rests; Peace itself; the highest refuge.
శుభాఙ్గః శాన్తిదః స్రష్టా కుముదః కువలేశయః ।
గోహితో గోపతిర్గోప్తా వృషభాక్షో వృషప్రియః ॥
౬౩ ॥
He whose form is lovely; the Giver of peace; the Creator; He who delights in the earth; He who lies in the waters; the Friend of the cows; the Master of the earth; the Protector; He whose eyes rain blessings; He who loves dharma.
అనివర్తీ నివృత్తాత్మా సఙ్క్షేప్తా క్షేమకృచ్ఛివః ।
శ్రీవత్సవక్షాః శ్రీవాసః శ్రీపతిః శ్రీమతాంవరః ॥
౬౪ ॥
He who never turns back from dharma; He whose Self is turned from the world; He who draws the vast world in at the end; He who keeps safe what has been gained; the Pure, whose name cleanses; He who bears the Shrivatsa on His chest; He in whose chest Shri dwells; the Husband of Shri; the best of the glorious.
శ్రీదః శ్రీశః శ్రీనివాసః శ్రీనిధిః శ్రీవిభావనః ।
శ్రీధరః శ్రీకరః శ్రేయః శ్రీమాఁల్లోకత్రయాశ్రయః ॥
౬౫ ॥
He who gives Shri; the Master of Shri; He who dwells with those who have Shri; the treasure-house of Shri; He who gives Shri to each as they deserve; He who holds Shri on His chest; He who brings Shri to those who remember Him; the highest good; the Glorious; the refuge of the three worlds.
స్వక్షః స్వఙ్గః శతానన్దో నన్దిర్జ్యోతిర్గణేశ్వరః ।
విజితాత్మాఽవిధేయాత్మా సత్కీర్తిశ్ఛిన్నసంశయః ॥
౬౬ ॥
He whose eyes are beautiful; He whose limbs are beautiful; He of a hundred joys; the highest joy; the Ruler of the hosts of lights; He who has mastered Himself; He whose Self obeys none; He whose fame is true; He in whom no doubt remains.
ఉదీర్ణః సర్వతశ్చక్షురనీశః శాశ్వతస్థిరః ।
భూశయో భూషణో భూతిర్విశోకః శోకనాశనః ॥
౬౭ ॥
He who stands above all beings; He whose eyes are everywhere; He who has no master; the eternal and steady; He who lay on the bare ground as Rama; He who adorns the earth; Glory itself; He who is free of sorrow; He who destroys sorrow.
అర్చిష్మానర్చితః కుమ్భో విశుద్ధాత్మా విశోధనః ।
అనిరుద్ధోఽప్రతిరథః ప్రద్యుమ్నోఽమితవిక్రమః ॥
౬౮ ॥
He who is radiant, lending light to the sun and moon; He who is adored by all; the Vessel in which all is held; the Pure Self; He who makes pure; Aniruddha, whom none can stop; He who has no rival; Pradyumna, of great wealth; He whose valour has no measure.
కాలనేమినిహా వీరః శౌరిః శూరజనేశ్వరః ।
త్రిలోకాత్మా త్రిలోకేశః కేశవః కేశిహా హరిః ॥
౬౯ ॥
He who slew the asura Kalanemi; the Hero; Shauri, of Shura's line; the Ruler of the valiant; the Self of the three worlds; the Master of the three worlds; Keshava, whose rays are His hair; the Slayer of Keshi; Hari, who takes away sin and the round of lives.
కామదేవః కామపాలః కామీ కాన్తః కృతాగమః ।
అనిర్దేశ్యవపుర్విష్ణుర్వీరోఽనన్తో ధనఞ్జయః ॥
౭౦ ॥
He to whom every wish is brought; the Keeper of wishes; He whose every wish is fulfilled; the Lovely; He who gave the scriptures; He whose form cannot be told; Vishnu, whose light fills heaven and earth; the Hero; the Endless; Dhananjaya, who won great wealth as Arjuna.
బ్రహ్మణ్యో బ్రహ్మకృద్ బ్రహ్మా బ్రహ్మ బ్రహ్మవివర్ధనః ।
బ్రహ్మవిద్ బ్రాహ్మణో బ్రహ్మీ బ్రహ్మజ్ఞో బ్రాహ్మణప్రియః ॥
౭౧ ॥
He who is good to tapas, the Veda, the brahmanas and true knowledge; He who makes them; Brahma the creator; Brahman itself; He who makes tapas and the Veda grow; the Knower of the Veda; the Brahmana who teaches it; He in whom all of it is held; He who knows the Veda as His own Self; He who loves the brahmanas and is loved by them.
మహాక్రమో మహాకర్మా మహాతేజా మహోరగః ।
మహాక్రతుర్మహాయజ్వా మహాయజ్ఞో మహాహవిః ॥
౭౨ ॥
He of the great strides; He of great deeds; He of great radiance; the great serpent Vasuki; the great kratu; the great offerer of yajna; the great yajna of japa; the great offering.
స్తవ్యః స్తవప్రియః స్తోత్రం స్తుతిః స్తోతా రణప్రియః ।
పూర్ణః పూరయితా పుణ్యః పుణ్యకీర్తిరనామయః ॥
౭౩ ॥
He who is to be praised; He who loves praise; the song of praise itself; the act of praising; the one who praises; He who loves the battle against evil; the Full; He who fills all; the Pure; He whose fame makes pure; He who knows no illness.
మనోజవస్తీర్థకరో వసురేతా వసుప్రదః ।
వసుప్రదో వాసుదేవో వసుర్వసుమనా హవిః ॥
౭౪ ॥
He who is swift as thought; the Maker of the scriptures and of the fords that carry across; He whose seed is gold; the Giver of wealth; the Giver of the highest wealth, freedom; Vasudeva; He in whom all dwell; He whose mind dwells equally in all; the offering itself.
సద్గతిః సత్కృతిః సత్తా సద్భూతిః సత్పరాయణః ।
శూరసేనో యదుశ్రేష్ఠః సన్నివాసః సుయామునః ॥
౭౫ ॥
He who is the goal of the good; He whose deeds are good; Being itself; He whose glory is true; the refuge of the good; He whose host is of heroes; the best of the Yadus; the dwelling of the wise; He whom the people of the Yamuna gather round.
భూతావాసో వాసుదేవః సర్వాసునిలయోఽనలః ।
దర్పహా దర్పదో దృప్తో దుర్ధరోఽథాపరాజితః ॥
౭౬ ॥
He in whom all beings dwell; Vasudeva, who covers the world with His maya; the resting place of every life; He whose power and glory have no limit; He who humbles the proud; He who gives the righteous their pride; He who is ever joyful in Himself; He whom none can hold; the Unconquered.
విశ్వమూర్తిర్మహామూర్తిర్దీప్తమూర్తిరమూర్తిమాన్ ।
అనేకమూర్తిరవ్యక్తః శతమూర్తిః శతాననః ॥
౭౭ ॥
He whose form is the universe; He of vast form; He of blazing form; He who has no form; He of many forms; the Unmanifest; He of a hundred forms; He of a hundred faces.
ఏకో నైకః సవః కః కిం యత్ తత్పదమనుత్తమమ్ ।
లోకబన్ధుర్లోకనాథో మాధవో భక్తవత్సలః ॥
౭౮ ॥
He who is One; He who is many; the soma yajna; Ka, bliss itself; Kim, the One to be enquired into; Yat, from whom all comes; Tat, That; the highest state, beyond which there is none; the Kinsman of the worlds; the Master of the worlds; Madhava; He who loves His bhaktas.
సువర్ణవర్ణో హేమాఙ్గో వరాఙ్గశ్చన్దనాఙ్గదీ ।
వీరహా విషమః శూన్యో ఘృతాశీరచలశ్చలః ॥
౭౯ ॥
He whose colour is gold; He whose limbs shine like gold; He whose limbs are lovely; He who wears armlets that gladden; the Slayer of the mighty wicked; the Unequalled; the Void, free of all qualities; He who wants nothing; the Unmoving; He who moves as the wind.
అమానీ మానదో మాన్యో లోకస్వామీ త్రిలోకధృత్ ।
సుమేధా మేధజో ధన్యః సత్యమేధా ధరాధరః ॥
౮౦ ॥
He who has no pride; He who gives honour to others; He who is worthy of honour; the Master of the worlds; He who upholds the three worlds; He of fine understanding; He who is born of the yajna; the Blessed; He whose understanding is true; He who holds up the earth.
తేజోవృషో ద్యుతిధరః సర్వశస్త్రభృతాం వరః ।
ప్రగ్రహో నిగ్రహో వ్యగ్రో నైకశృఙ్గో గదాగ్రజః ॥
౮౧ ॥
He who rains light as the sun; He who bears splendour; the best of all who bear arms; He who accepts the flowers His bhaktas offer; He who holds all in check; He who never stops; He of many horns, the Vedas; Gada's elder brother, first revealed by the mantra.
చతుర్మూర్తిశ్చతుర్బాహుశ్చతుర్వ్యూహశ్చతుర్గతిః ।
చతురాత్మా చతుర్భావశ్చతుర్వేదవిదేకపాత్ ॥
౮౨ ॥
He of four forms; He of four arms; He of four emanations; the refuge of the four stages and four orders of life; He of four selves; He from whom the four aims of life arise; the Knower of the four Vedas; He of whom a single quarter is the whole universe.
సమావర్తోఽనివృత్తాత్మా దుర్జయో దురతిక్రమః ।
దుర్లభో దుర్గమో దుర్గో దురావాసో దురారిహా ॥
౮౩ ॥
He who turns the wheel of the world round and round; He whose Self is never held back; He who is hard to conquer; He whose command none can pass over; He who is hard to win, hard to reach, hard to approach, hard to keep in the heart; the Slayer of those who walk the evil path.
శుభాఙ్గో లోకసారఙ్గః సుతన్తుస్తన్తువర్ధనః ।
ఇన్ద్రకర్మా మహాకర్మా కృతకర్మా కృతాగమః ॥
౮౪ ॥
He whose form is lovely; He who takes the essence of the worlds; He who spins the fine thread of the world; He who lengthens that thread; He whose deeds are like Indra's; He of great deeds; He who has nothing left to do; He who gave the Vedas.
ఉద్భవః సున్దరః సున్దో రత్ననాభః సులోచనః ।
అర్కో వాజసనః శృఙ్గీ జయన్తః సర్వవిజ్జయీ ॥
౮౫ ॥
He whose birth is noble; the Beautiful; He whose heart is moist with kindness; He whose navel is a jewel; He of lovely eyes; He whom even Brahma adores; the Giver of food; He who took on a horn at the deluge; the Victorious; He who knows all and conquers all.
సువర్ణబిన్దురక్షోభ్యః సర్వవాగీశ్వరేశ్వరః ।
మహాహ్రదో మహాగర్తో మహాభూతో మహానిధిః ॥
౮౬ ॥
He whose limbs are like gold; He who is never shaken; the Master of all the masters of speech; the great lake of bliss; the great deep; the great Being whom time cannot touch; the great treasure-house in which all things rest.
కుముదః కున్దరః కున్దః పర్జన్యః పావనోఽనిలః ।
అమృతాశోఽమృతవపుః సర్వజ్ఞః సర్వతోముఖః ॥
౮౭ ॥
He who gladdens the earth; He who gives fruits pure as the kunda flower; He who gave the earth away as Parashurama; the Rain-cloud that cools the three sorrows; the Purifier; He whom none drives; He who drinks nectar; He whose body is deathless; the All-knowing; He whose face is turned every way.
సులభః సువ్రతః సిద్ధః శత్రుజిచ్ఛత్రుతాపనః ।
న్యగ్రోధోఽదుమ్బరోఽశ్వత్థశ్చాణూరాన్ధ్రనిషూదనః ॥
౮౮ ॥
He who is easily won, by a leaf or a flower offered with love; He whose vrats are true; the Perfect; the Conqueror of foes; He who scorches the foes; the banyan that spreads over all; the udumbara fig; the ashvattha, the peepal; the Slayer of Chanura of the Andhra land.
సహస్రార్చిః సప్తజిహ్వః సప్తైధాః సప్తవాహనః ।
అమూర్తిరనఘోఽచిన్త్యో భయకృద్భయనాశనః ॥
౮౯ ॥
He of a thousand rays; the Fire of seven tongues; He of seven flames; the Sun drawn by seven horses; the Formless; the Sinless; the Inconceivable; He who strikes fear into the wicked; He who destroys the fear of the good.
అణుర్బృహత్కృశః స్థూలో గుణభృన్నిర్గుణో మహాన్ ।
అధృతః స్వధృతః స్వాస్యః ప్రాగ్వంశో వంశవర్ధనః ॥
౯౦ ॥
He who is the smallest and the vastest; the slender and the stout; He who bears the gunas and is beyond them; the Great; He whom nothing holds up; He who holds Himself up; He of the lovely face; He whose line is the most ancient; He who makes the line of creation grow.
భారభృత్ కథితో యోగీ యోగీశః సర్వకామదః ।
ఆశ్రమః శ్రమణః క్షామః సుపర్ణో వాయువాహనః ॥
౯౧ ॥
He who bears the weight of the world; He of whom the Vedas speak; the Yogi; the Master of yogis; the Giver of every wish; the resting place of all who wander in the world; He who troubles the unwise; He who wears all things down at the end; the tree of the world whose fine leaves are the Vedas; He who makes the winds blow.
ధనుర్ధరో ధనుర్వేదో దణ్డో దమయితా దమః ।
అపరాజితః సర్వసహో నియన్తాఽనియమోఽయమః ॥
౯౨ ॥
He who bears the bow, as Rama; the Knower of the science of arms; the Rod of justice; He who disciplines; Discipline itself; the Unconquered; He who bears all; He who sets each to their task; He whom no law binds; He whom death cannot touch.
సత్త్వవాన్ సాత్త్వికః సత్యః సత్యధర్మపరాయణః ।
అభిప్రాయః ప్రియార్హోఽర్హః ప్రియకృత్ ప్రీతివర్ధనః ॥
౯౩ ॥
He who is full of strength and courage; He who rests in sattva; the True; He who is devoted to truth and dharma; He whom seekers long for; He who is worthy of all that is dear; He who is worthy of puja; He who does good to all; He who makes joy grow.
విహాయసగతిర్జ్యోతిః సురుచిర్హుతభుగ్విభుః ।
రవిర్విరోచనః సూర్యః సవితా రవిలోచనః ॥
౯౪ ॥
He whose path is the sky; Light itself; He of lovely radiance; He who receives the offerings in the fire; the All-pervading; Ravi, the sun who draws up the waters; He who shines in many ways; Surya, who brings forth all; Savita, the begetter of the world; He whose eye is the sun.
అనన్తో హుతభుగ్భోక్తా సుఖదో నైకజోఽగ్రజః ।
అనిర్విణ్ణః సదామర్షీ లోకాధిష్ఠానమద్భుతః ॥
౯౫ ॥
He who is endless; He who receives the offerings; the Enjoyer; the Giver of happiness; He who is born many times to guard dharma; the First-born; He who never grows weary; He who forgives the good when they stumble; the ground of the worlds; the Wonderful.
సనాత్సనాతనతమః కపిలః కపిరవ్యయః ।
స్వస్తిదః స్వస్తికృత్స్వస్తి స్వస్తిభుక్స్వస్తిదక్షిణః ॥
౯౬ ॥
He who is time without beginning; the most ancient of the ancient; the tawny One; the Sun, who drinks the waters; the Undecaying; the Giver of well-being; the Maker of well-being; Well-being itself; He who enjoys well-being and guards it; He whose nature is to spread well-being.
అరౌద్రః కుణ్డలీ చక్రీ విక్రమ్యూర్జితశాసనః ।
శబ్దాతిగః శబ్దసహః శిశిరః శర్వరీకరః ॥
౯౭ ॥
He who is never harsh; He who wears earrings bright as the sun, and lies coiled as Shesha; He who bears the discus; the Valiant; He whose command is mighty; He who is beyond words; He of whom all the Vedas speak; the cool dew for those who burn with sorrow; the Maker of the night.
అక్రూరః పేశలో దక్షో దక్షిణః క్షమిణాంవరః ।
విద్వత్తమో వీతభయః పుణ్యశ్రవణకీర్తనః ॥
౯౮ ॥
He who is never cruel; the Gentle and graceful; the Skilful; the Generous; the best of the forgiving; the wisest of the wise; He who is free of fear; He whose names, heard and sung, make one pure.
ఉత్తారణో దుష్కృతిహా పుణ్యో దుఃస్వప్ననాశనః ।
వీరహా రక్షణః సన్తో జీవనః పర్యవస్థితః ॥
౯౯ ॥
He who carries us across the ocean of the world; He who destroys wrong deeds; the Pure; He who ends bad dreams; He who cuts off the paths that bind; the Protector; He who dwells in the good; the Life of all; He who pervades everything.
అనన్తరూపోఽనన్తశ్రీర్జితమన్యుర్భయాపహః ।
చతురశ్రో గభీరాత్మా విదిశో వ్యాదిశో దిశః ॥
౧౦౦ ॥
He whose forms are endless; He whose glory is endless; He who has conquered anger; He who takes away fear; He who is just, giving each their due; He whose Self is deep; He who gives varied fruits; He who gives varied commands; He who gives the fruit of every act.
అనాదిర్భూర్భువో లక్ష్మీః సువీరో రుచిరాఙ్గదః ।
జననో జనజన్మాదిర్భీమో భీమపరాక్రమః ॥
౧౦౧ ॥
He who has no beginning; the ground of the earth itself; the glory of the earth; the great Hero; He who wears lovely armlets; He who brings all beings to birth; the root of every birth; the Awesome; He whose valour the wicked dread.
ఆధారనిలయోఽధాతా పుష్పహాసః ప్రజాగరః ।
ఊర్ధ్వగః సత్పథాచారః ప్రాణదః ప్రణవః పణః ॥
౧౦౨ ॥
He who is the home of all that upholds; He whom none upholds; He whose smile opens like a flower; the ever-wakeful; He who stands above all; He who walks the good path; He who gives back life; Om, the Pranava; He who deals to each the fruit of their deeds.
ప్రమాణం ప్రాణనిలయః ప్రాణభృత్ప్రాణజీవనః ।
తత్త్వం తత్త్వవిదేకాత్మా జన్మమృత్యుజరాతిగః ॥
౧౦౩ ॥
He who is the measure of all truth; the dwelling of the life-breaths; He who nourishes all life; He who keeps all creatures alive; the Truth itself; the Knower of the truth; the one Self; He who is beyond birth, death and old age.
భూర్భువఃస్వస్తరుస్తారః సవితా ప్రపితామహః ।
యజ్ఞో యజ్ఞపతిర్యజ్వా యజ్ఞాఙ్గో యజ్ఞవాహనః ॥
౧౦౪ ॥
He who is the tree of bhuh, bhuvah and svah, the three worlds; He who carries across; Savita, the father of all; the great-grandsire, father even of Brahma; the yajna; the Master of the yajna; the one who offers it; He whose limbs are the yajna; He who carries the yajna to its fruit.
యజ్ఞభృద్ యజ్ఞకృద్ యజ్ఞీ యజ్ఞభుగ్ యజ్ఞసాధనః ।
యజ్ఞాన్తకృద్ యజ్ఞగుహ్యమన్నమన్నాద ఏవ చ ॥
౧౦౫ ॥
He who upholds the yajna; He who made the yajna; the Master of the yajna; He who receives the yajna; He whom the yajna reaches; He who brings the yajna to its close; the secret of the yajna; the Food; and the Eater of the food.
ఆత్మయోనిః స్వయఞ్జాతో వైఖానః సామగాయనః ।
దేవకీనన్దనః స్రష్టా క్షితీశః పాపనాశనః ॥
౧౦౬ ॥
He who is His own source; the Self-born; He who dug through the earth as the Boar; the Singer of the Samans; Devakinandana, the joy of Devaki; the Creator; the Master of the earth; the Destroyer of sin.
శఙ్ఖభృన్నన్దకీ చక్రీ శార్ఙ్గధన్వా గదాధరః ।
రథాఙ్గపాణిరక్షోభ్యః సర్వప్రహరణాయుధః ॥
౧౦౭ ॥
శ్రీసర్వప్రహరణాయుధ ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
He who bears the conch; He who bears the sword Nandaka; He who bears the discus; He who bears the bow Sharnga; He who bears the mace; He who holds the chariot-wheel in His hand; He whom nothing can shake; He whose weapons are every weapon there is. To Him who bears every weapon: Om, I bow.
వనమాలీ గదీ శార్ఙ్గీ శఙ్ఖీ చక్రీ చ నన్దకీ ।
శ్రీమాన్ నారాయణో విష్ణుర్వాసుదేవోఽభిరక్షతు ॥
౧౦౮ ॥
శ్రీవాసుదేవోఽభిరక్షతు ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
May He who wears the garland of forest flowers, who bears the mace, the bow Sharnga, the conch, the discus and the sword Nandaka — the glorious Narayana, Vishnu, Vasudeva — protect us. May Shri Vasudeva protect us: Om, I bow.
భీష్మ ఉవాచ ।
ఇతీదం కీర్తనీయస్య కేశవస్య మహాత్మనః ।
నామ్నాం సహస్రం దివ్యానామశేషేణ ప్రకీర్తితమ్ ॥
౧ ॥
Bhishma said: Thus have I told in full the thousand divine names of the great Keshava, whose glory is ever to be sung.
య ఇదం శృణుయాన్నిత్యం యశ్చాపి పరికీర్తయేత్ ।
నాశుభం ప్రాప్నుయాత్కిఞ్చిత్సోఽముత్రేహ చ మానవః ॥
౨ ॥
Whoever hears these every day, or recites them, meets with no harm of any kind, in this world or the next.
వేదాన్తగో బ్రాహ్మణః స్యాత్క్షత్రియో విజయీ భవేత్ ।
వైశ్యో ధనసమృద్ధః స్యాచ్ఛూద్రః సుఖమవాప్నుయాత్ ॥
౩ ॥
A brahmana gains mastery of the Vedanta; a kshatriya becomes victorious; a vaishya grows rich; a shudra finds happiness.
ధర్మార్థీ ప్రాప్నుయాద్ధర్మమర్థార్థీ చార్థమాప్నుయాత్ ।
కామానవాప్నుయాత్కామీ ప్రజార్థీ చాప్నుయాత్ప్రజామ్ ॥
౪ ॥
One who seeks dharma gains dharma; one who seeks wealth gains wealth; one who has wishes sees them fulfilled; and one who longs for children is blessed with children.
భక్తిమాన్ యః సదోత్థాయ శుచిస్తద్గతమానసః ।
సహస్రం వాసుదేవస్య నామ్నామేతత్ప్రకీర్తయేత్ ॥
౫ ॥
One who, full of bhakti, rises early, clean, the mind set on Him, and recites these thousand names of Vasudeva —
యశః ప్రాప్నోతి విపులం యాతి ప్రాధాన్యమేవ చ ।
అచలాం శ్రియమాప్నోతి శ్రేయః ప్రాప్నోత్యనుత్తమమ్ ॥
౬ ॥
wins wide fame and rises to the first place; he gains a prosperity that does not waver, and the highest good of all.
న భయం క్వచిదాప్నోతి వీర్యం తేజశ్చ విన్దతి ।
భవత్యరోగో ద్యుతిమాన్బలరూపగుణాన్వితః ॥
౭ ॥
He never meets with fear; he finds valour and radiance; he becomes free of illness, bright, and gifted with strength, beauty and good qualities.
రోగార్తో ముచ్యతే రోగాద్బద్ధో ముచ్యేత బన్ధనాత్ ।
భయాన్ముచ్యేత భీతస్తు ముచ్యేతాపన్న ఆపదః ॥
౮ ॥
The sick are freed from sickness and the bound from their bonds; the frightened are freed from fear, and those in trouble from their trouble.
దుర్గాణ్యతితరత్యాశు పురుషః పురుషోత్తమమ్ ।
స్తువన్నామసహస్రేణ నిత్యం భక్తిసమన్వితః ॥
౯ ॥
A person who praises Purushottama every day with the thousand names, full of bhakti, soon crosses every hardship.
వాసుదేవాశ్రయో మర్త్యో వాసుదేవపరాయణః ।
సర్వపాపవిశుద్ధాత్మా యాతి బ్రహ్మ సనాతనమ్ ॥
౧౦ ॥
One who takes refuge in Vasudeva and gives himself wholly to Vasudeva is cleansed of every sin and reaches the eternal Brahman.
న వాసుదేవభక్తానామశుభం విద్యతే క్వచిత్ ।
జన్మమృత్యుజరావ్యాధిభయం నైవోపజాయతే ॥
౧౧ ॥
For the bhaktas of Vasudeva there is no harm anywhere; the fear of birth, death, old age and illness never arises in them.
ఇమం స్తవమధీయానః శ్రద్ధాభక్తిసమన్వితః ।
యుజ్యేతాత్మసుఖక్షాన్తిశ్రీధృతిస్మృతికీర్తిభిః ॥
౧౨ ॥
One who recites this stotra with faith and bhakti is blessed with joy of heart, patience, prosperity, steadiness, memory and a good name.
న క్రోధో న చ మాత్సర్యం న లోభో నాశుభా మతిః ।
భవన్తి కృతపుణ్యానాం భక్తానాం పురుషోత్తమే ॥
౧౩ ॥
In the good-hearted who love Purushottama there arises no anger, no envy, no greed and no wicked thought.
ద్యౌః సచన్ద్రార్కనక్షత్రా ఖం దిశో భూర్మహోదధిః ।
వాసుదేవస్య వీర్యేణ విధృతాని మహాత్మనః ॥
౧౪ ॥
The heavens with the moon, the sun and the stars, the sky, the directions, the earth and the great ocean are all upheld by the might of the great Vasudeva.
ససురాసురగన్ధర్వం సయక్షోరగరాక్షసమ్ ।
జగద్వశే వర్తతేదం కృష్ణస్య సచరాచరమ్ ॥
౧౫ ॥
This whole world, moving and unmoving, with its devas, asuras and gandharvas, its yakshas, serpents and rakshasas, stands under Krishna's sway.
ఇన్ద్రియాణి మనో బుద్ధిః సత్త్వం తేజో బలం ధృతిః ।
వాసుదేవాత్మకాన్యాహుః క్షేత్రం క్షేత్రజ్ఞ ఏవ చ ॥
౧౬ ॥
The senses, the mind and the understanding, courage, radiance, strength and steadiness — the wise say all of these are Vasudeva, and so are the body and the one who knows it.
సర్వాగమానామాచారః ప్రథమం పరికల్పతే ।
ఆచారప్రభవో ధర్మో ధర్మస్య ప్రభురచ్యుతః ॥
౧౭ ॥
Of all the scriptures, right conduct is set first; dharma springs from right conduct; and the Master of dharma is Achyuta.
ఋషయః పితరో దేవా మహాభూతాని ధాతవః ।
జఙ్గమాజఙ్గమం చేదం జగన్నారాయణోద్భవమ్ ॥
౧౮ ॥
The rishis, the ancestors, the devas, the great elements, the metals, and this whole world of moving and unmoving things have all come from Narayana.
యోగో జ్ఞానం తథా సాఙ్ఖ్యం విద్యాః శిల్పాదికర్మ చ ।
వేదాః శాస్త్రాణి విజ్ఞానమేతత్సర్వం జనార్దనాత్ ॥
౧౯ ॥
Yoga, knowledge and Sankhya, the branches of learning, crafts and every skill, the Vedas, the shastras and all understanding — all of this comes from Janardana.
ఏకో విష్ణుర్మహద్భూతం పృథగ్భూతాన్యనేకశః ।
త్రీంల్లోకాన్వ్యాప్య భూతాత్మా భుఙ్క్తే విశ్వభుగవ్యయః ॥
౨౦ ॥
Vishnu is the one great Being, appearing as the many separate beings; the Self of all beings, the undecaying One who sustains the universe, He pervades the three worlds and enjoys them.
ఇమం స్తవం భగవతో విష్ణోర్వ్యాసేన కీర్తితమ్ ।
పఠేద్య ఇచ్ఛేత్పురుషః శ్రేయః ప్రాప్తుం సుఖాని చ ॥
౨౧ ॥
Whoever wishes to gain the highest good, and happiness too, should recite this stotra to Bhagwan Vishnu, sung by Vyasa.
విశ్వేశ్వరమజం దేవం జగతః ప్రభుమవ్యయమ్ ।
భజన్తి యే పుష్కరాక్షం న తే యాన్తి పరాభవమ్ ॥
౨౨ ॥
న తే యాన్తి పరాభవమ్ ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
Those who adore the lotus-eyed Deva — the Ruler of the universe, unborn, the undecaying Master of the world — never meet with defeat. They never meet with defeat: Om, I bow.
అర్జున ఉవాచ ।
పద్మపత్రవిశాలాక్ష పద్మనాభ సురోత్తమ ।
భక్తానామనురక్తానాం త్రాతా భవ జనార్దన ॥
౨౩ ॥
Arjuna said: O You whose eyes are wide as lotus petals, O Padmanabha, highest of the devas, O Janardana — be the protector of the bhaktas who love You.
శ్రీభగవానువాచ ।
యో మాం నామసహస్రేణ స్తోతుమిచ్ఛతి పాణ్డవ ।
సోఽహమేకేన శ్లోకేన స్తుత ఏవ న సంశయః ॥
౨౪ ॥
స్తుత ఏవ న సంశయ ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
Bhagwan said: O Pandava, whoever wishes to praise Me with the thousand names — by even a single shloka I am praised; of this there is no doubt. I am praised; there is no doubt: Om, I bow.
వ్యాస ఉవాచ ।
వాసనాద్వాసుదేవస్య వాసితం భువనత్రయమ్ ।
సర్వభూతనివాసోఽసి వాసుదేవ నమోఽస్తు తే ॥
౨౫ ॥
శ్రీవాసుదేవ నమోఽస్తు త ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
Vyasa said: The three worlds are filled with Vasudeva, for He dwells in them all. O Vasudeva, You are the dwelling of all beings; I bow to You. O Shri Vasudeva, I bow to You: Om, I bow.
పార్వత్యువాచ ।
కేనోపాయేన లఘునా విష్ణోర్నామసహస్రకమ్ ।
పఠ్యతే పణ్డితైర్నిత్యం శ్రోతుమిచ్ఛామ్యహం ప్రభో ॥
౨౬ ॥
Parvati said: O Prabhu, I wish to hear by what easy means the wise may say the thousand names of Vishnu every day.
ఈశ్వర ఉవాచ ।
శ్రీరామరామరామేతి రమే రామే మనోరమే ।
సహస్రనామతత్తుల్యం రామనామ వరాననే ॥
౨౭ ॥
శ్రీరామనామ వరానన ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
Ishvara said: Saying 'Shri Rama, Rama, Rama', I delight in Rama, who delights the heart. O fair-faced Devi, the name of Rama is equal to the thousand names. The name of Shri Rama, O fair-faced Devi: Om, I bow.
బ్రహ్మోవాచ ।
నమోఽస్త్వనన్తాయ సహస్రమూర్తయే
సహస్రపాదాక్షిశిరోరుబాహవే ।
సహస్రనామ్నే పురుషాయ శాశ్వతే
సహస్రకోటీయుగధారిణే నమః ॥
౨౮ ॥
సహస్రకోటీయుగధారిణే నమ ఓం నమ ఇతి ।
Brahma said: I bow to the Endless One, of a thousand forms, with a thousand feet, eyes, heads, thighs and arms; to the eternal Purusha of a thousand names, who upholds a thousand crore yugas. To Him who upholds a thousand crore yugas: Om, I bow.
సఞ్జయ ఉవాచ ।
యత్ర యోగేశ్వరః కృష్ణో యత్ర పార్థో ధనుర్ధరః ।
తత్ర శ్రీర్విజయో భూతిర్ధ్రువా నీతిర్మతిర్మమ ॥
౨౯ ॥
Sanjaya said: Wherever Krishna, the Master of yoga, is, and wherever Arjuna the archer is, there are fortune, victory, well-being and steady justice. That is my conviction.
శ్రీభగవానువాచ ।
అనన్యాశ్చిన్తయన్తో మాం యే జనాః పర్యుపాసతే ।
తేషాం నిత్యాభియుక్తానాం యోగక్షేమం వహామ్యహమ్ ॥
౩౦ ॥
Bhagwan said: Those who think of Me alone and adore Me, ever steadfast — for them I bring what they lack and keep safe what they have.
పరిత్రాణాయ సాధూనాం వినాశాయ చ దుష్కృతామ్ ।
ధర్మసంస్థాపనార్థాయ సమ్భవామి యుగే యుగే ॥
౩౧ ॥
To protect the good, to destroy those who do evil, and to set dharma firmly in place, I come into being age after age.
ఆర్తా విషణ్ణాః శిథిలాశ్చ భీతాః
ఘోరేషు చ వ్యాధిషు వర్తమానాః ।
సఙ్కీర్త్య నారాయణశబ్దమాత్రం
విముక్తదుఃఖాః సుఖినో భవన్తి ॥
౩౨ ॥
Those who are distressed, downcast, worn out and afraid, or caught in terrible illness — by merely saying the name 'Narayana' they are freed from their sorrow and become happy.
కాయేన వాచా మనసేన్ద్రియైర్వా
బుద్ధ్యాత్మనా వా ప్రకృతేః స్వభావాత్ ।
కరోమి యద్యత్ సకలం పరస్మై
నారాయణాయేతి సమర్పయామి ॥
౩౩ ॥
Whatever I do — with body, speech or mind, with the senses, with the intellect or the heart, or simply from my own nature — all of it I offer to the Supreme, to Narayana.
యదక్షరపదభ్రష్టం మాత్రాహీనం తు యద్భవేత్ ।
తత్సర్వం క్షమ్యతాం దేవ నారాయణ నమోఽస్తు తే ॥
Whatever syllable or word has slipped, wherever a measure fell short — forgive all of it, O Deva. O Narayana, I bow to You.
విసర్గబిన్దుమాత్రాణి పదపాదాక్షరాణి చ ।
న్యూనాని చాతిరిక్తాని క్షమస్వ పురుషోత్తమ ॥
Visargas, anusvaras and measures, words, quarter-verses and syllables — whatever was too little or too much, forgive it, O Purushottama.
