śrī raghuvīra bhakta hitakārī. suni lījai prabhu araja hamārī.

O Ram ji, benefactor of those who keep him and jewel of the Raghu lineage, please hear our humble prayer.

niśi dina dhyāna dharai jo koyī. tā sama bhakta aura nahim̐ hoyī.

Whoever holds in dhyan You day and night has no equal among those who keep you.

3

dhyāna dhare śivajī mana māhīm̐. brahmā iṁdra pāra nahim̐ pāhīm̐.

Shiv ji holds in dhyan You within his heart, while Brahma and Indra cannot comprehend the limits of Your majesty.

jaya jaya jaya raghunātha kr̥pālā. sadā karo saṁtana pratipālā.

Victory, victory, victory to You, O merciful lord of the Raghus, who constantly protects and nurtures the saints.

5

dūta tumhāra vīra hanumānā. jāsu prabhāva tihūm̐ pura jānā.

The heroic Hanuman is Your messenger, whose mighty power is renowned across all three worlds.

tava bhuja daṁḍa pracaṁḍa kr̥pālā. rāvaṇa māri surana pratipālā.

With Your formidable, mighty arms, O compassionate Ram ji, You slew Ravana and protected the gods.

tuma anātha ke nātha gosāyīm̐. dīnana ke ho sadā sahāyī.

You are the master and protector of the shelterless, and the eternal help of the humble and afflicted.

brahmādika tava pāra na pāvaim̐. sadā īśa tumharo yaśa gāvaiṁ.

Even deities headed by Brahma cannot fathom Your bounds, and Shiv ji ever sings Your glory.

cāriu veda bharata haim̐ sākhī. tuma bhaktana kī lajjā rākhī.

All four Vedas bear witness that You always preserve the honour and dignity of your own.

10

guṇa gāvata śārada mana māhīm̐. surapati tāko pāra na pāhīm̐.

Devi Saraswati sings Your virtues in Her mind, yet Indra, the lord of celestials, cannot find their limit.

11

nāma tumhāra leta jo koyī. tā sama dhanya aura nahim̐ hoyī.

Blessed indeed is anyone who takes Your holy name, for none is more fortunate than they.

12

rāma nāma hai aparaṁpārā. cāriu vedana jāhi pukārā.

The name of Ram is boundless, as proclaimed and celebrated throughout all four Vedas.

gaṇapati nāma tumhāro līnho. tinako prathama pūjya tuma kīnho.

Ganesh ji remembered Your sacred name, and You granted him the honour of being given puja first among all deities.

14

śeṣa raṭata nita nāma tumhārā. mahi ko bhāra śīśa para dhārā.

Sheshanaga constantly recites Your name, sustaining the heavy burden of the earth upon his hood.

15

phūla samāna rahata so bhārā. pāva na koū tumharo pārā.

That immense weight rests as light as a flower, yet no one can ever fathom the depths of Your glory.

16

bharata nāma tumharo ura dhāro. tāsom̐ kabahu na raṇa mem̐ hāro.

Bharata enshrined Your name within his heart, and for that reason he was never defeated on any battlefield.

17

nāma śatruhana hr̥daya prakāśā. sumirata hota śatru kara nāśā.

Your name illuminated the heart of Shatrughna, and by remembering it, all adversaries are destroyed.

18

lakhana tumhāre ājñākārī. sadā karata saṁtana rakhavārī.

Lakshmana was ever obedient to Your wishes, perpetually guarding and serving the saints.

19

tāte raṇa jīte nahim̐ koyī. yuddha jure yamahūm̐ kina hoyī.

Therefore no warrior could ever defeat him in battle, even if Yama, the god of death himself, were to engage him.

20

mahālakṣmī dhara avatārā. saba vidhi karata pāpa ko chārā.

Mother Mahalakshmi took incarnation as Sita, reducing all manners of sin to ashes.

sītā nāma punītā gāyo. bhuvaneśvarī prabhāva dikhāyo.

The sacred name of Sita was sung, displaying the divine majesty of Devi Bhuvaneshwari.

22

ghaṭa som̐ prakaṭa bhayī so āyī. jāko dekhata caṁdra lajāyī.

She appeared forth from the earth, blessed with a radiance that makes the moon feel bashful.

23

so tumare nita pām̐va paloṭata. navom̐ niddhi caraṇana mem̐ loṭata.

She gently caresses Your feet daily, while all nine treasures of wealth lie at Your feet.

24

siddhi aṭhāraha maṁgaḷakārī. so tuma para jāvai balihārī.

All eighteen auspicious mystic powers surrender themselves entirely in devotion to You.

25

aurahu jo aneka prabhutāyī. so sītāpati tumahim̐ banāyī.

Whatever other great powers and sovereignties exist, O Ram ji, Sita Maa's own, were created solely by You.

26

icchā te koṭina saṁsārā. racata na lāgata pala kī vārā.

By Your mere wish You bring forth millions of universes without taking even an instant.

27

jo tumhare caraṇana cita lāvai. tākī mukti avasi ho jāvai.

Whoever fastens their mind upon Your lotus feet attains spiritual liberation without fail.

28

jaya jaya jaya prabhu jyoti svarūpā. nirguṇa brahma akhaṁḍa anūpā.

All victory to You, O Ram ji who are the embodiment of divine light, the attributeless, indivisible, and incomparable Supreme Brahman.

satya satya satyavrata svāmī. satya sanātana aṁtaryāmī.

Truly, You are the Master dedicated to truth, the eternal truth, and the indwelling witness of every soul.

30

satya bhajana tumharo jo gāvai. so niścaya cārom̐ phala pāvai.

Whoever sings Your sincere praises in truth undoubtedly receives the four great fruits of human life.

31

satya śapatha gaurīpati kīnhīm̐. tumane bhaktihim̐ saba siddhi dīnhīm̐.

Shiv ji, consort of Gauri, swore an oath of truth that You bestow every spiritual accomplishment upon genuine devotion.

32

sunahu rāma tuma tāta hamāre. tumahim̐ bharata kula pūjya pracāre.

Listen, O Ram, You are our divine Father, revered and proclaimed throughout the lineage of Bharata.

33

tumahim̐ deva kula deva hamāre. tuma guru deva prāṇa ke pyāre.

You are the God of our deities, our divine Teacher, and dearer to us than life itself.

34

jo kucha ho so tuma hī rājā. jaya jaya jaya prabhu rākho lājā.

In all that exists, You alone are the supreme Sovereign; victory to You, O Ram ji, please uphold my honour.

35

rāma ātmā poṣaṇa hāre. jaya jaya daśaratha rāja dulāre.

O Ram, nourisher of the innermost soul, all victory to You, the beloved son of King Dasharatha.

36

jñāna hr̥daya do jñāna svarūpā. namo namo jaya jagapati bhūpā.

Bestow wisdom upon my heart, O personification of knowledge; salutations again and again to the Sovereign Ruler of the universe.

37

dhanya dhanya tuma dhanya pratāpā. nāma tumhāra harata saṁtāpā.

Blessed, blessed are You and blessed is Your divine power, for Your holy name dispels all misery and sorrow.

38

satya śuddha devana mukha gāyā. bajī duṁdubhī śaṁkha bajāyā.

The gods themselves sang Your pure and truthful glory, sounding celestial kettledrums and conches in celebration.

39

satya satya tuma satya sanātana. tuma hī ho hamare tana mana dhana.

Truly, You are the eternal truth, and You alone constitute my body, mind, and wealth.

40

yāko pāṭha kare jo koyī. jñāna prakaṭa tāke ura hoyī.

Whoever recites this stotra will have true spiritual wisdom awaken within their heart.

41

āvāgamana miṭai tihi kerā. satya vacana māne śiva merā.

Their cycle of birth and death is erased, a truthful word affirmed by my Shiv ji.

42

aura āsa mana mem̐ jo hoyī. manavāṁchita phala pāve soyī.

Whatever other desire one holds in one's heart, one receives that cherished fruit.

43

tīnahūm̐ kāla dhyāna jo lyāvai. tulasī dala aru phūla caḍhāvai.

Whoever holds in dhyan Ram ji at the three junctures of the day, offering Tulsi leaves and flowers,

44

sāga patra so bhoga lagāvaim̐. so nara sakala siddhatā pāvaim̐.

And makes offerings of simple vegetarian leaves with devotion, that person attains all perfections.

45

aṁta samaya raghuvarapura jāyī. jahām̐ janma hari bhakta kahāyī.

At life's end, they go to the divine abode of Shri Ram, or are reborn as people wholly given to Hari.

46

śrī haridāsa kahai aru gāvai. so baikuṁṭha dhāma ko jāvai.

Shri Haridas speaks and sings this: such an aspirant surely reaches the celestial realm of Vaikuntha.

Closing doha

sāta divasa jo nema kara, pāṭha kare cita lāya. haridāsa hari kr̥pā se, avasi bhakti ko pāya.

Whoever recites this with steady discipline and focused heart for seven days, says Haridas, definitely attains devotion by Hari's grace.

rāma cālīsā jo paḍhe, rāma caraṇa cita lāya. jo icchā mana meṁ karai, sakala siddha ho jāya.

Whoever recites the Ram Chalisa, fixing their consciousness upon the feet of Ram, sees every desire harbored in their heart fulfilled.
