ૐ જય શિવ ઓંકારા, સ્વામી જય શિવ ઓંકારા।

Om, glory to Shiv ji, whose form is Om; O Swami, glory to Shiv ji, whose form is Om.

બ્રહ્મા વિષ્ણુ સદાશિવ અર્દ્ધાંગી ધારા॥

You are Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiv, and You bear the Devi as half of Yourself.

એકાનન ચતુરાનન પંચાનન રાજે।

In Your one-faced, four-faced and five-faced forms You shine;

હંસાસન ગરુડાસન વૃષવાહન સાજે॥

You are resplendent seated on the swan, on Garuda, and riding the bull.

દો ભુજ ચાર ચતુર્ભુજ દસ ભુજ તે સોહે।

With two arms, with four arms, with ten arms You are adorned;

તીનોં રૂપ નિરખતા ત્રિભુવન જન મોહે॥

beholding Your three forms, the people of the three worlds are enchanted.

અક્ષમાલા વનમાલા મુણ્ડમાલા ધારી।

You wear the akshamala, the garland of forest flowers and the garland of skulls;

ચંદન મૃગમદ સોહે ભાલે શશિધારી॥

chandan and musk adorn Your brow, O bearer of the Moon.

શ્વેતામ્બર પીતામ્બર બાઘમ્બર અંગે।

White cloth, yellow silk and the tiger skin adorn Your body;

સનકાદિક ગરુણાદિક ભૂતાદિક સંગે॥

Sanaka and the sages, Garuda and his kind, and the bhoot-ganas are ever with You.

કર કે મધ્ય કમંડલુ ચક્ર ત્રિશૂલધારી।

In Your hands You hold the kamandalu, the chakra and the trishul;

સુખકારી દુખહારી જગપાલન કારી॥

You give joy, You take away sorrow, You sustain the world.

બ્રહ્મા વિષ્ણુ સદાશિવ જાનત અવિવેકા।

Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiv — only the undiscerning take them to be three;

પ્રણવાક્ષર મધ્યે યે તીનોં એકા॥

within the syllable Om these three are one.

લક્ષ્મી વ સાવિત્રી પાર્વતી સંગા।

Lakshmi Maa, Savitri and Parvati Maa are at your side;

પાર્વતી અર્દ્ધાંગી, શિવલહરી ગંગા॥

Parvati Maa is half of your body, and Ganga Maa flows from you in waves.

પર્વત સોહૈં પાર્વતી, શંકર કૈલાસા।

Parvati Maa shines on the mountain, and Shankar dwells on Kailash;

ભાંગ ધતૂર કા ભોજન, ભસ્મી મેં વાસા॥

bhang and dhatura are your food, and you live in ash.

જટા મેં ગંગ બહત હૈ, ગલ મુણ્ડન માલા।

Ganga Maa flows in your matted hair, and a garland of skulls hangs at your throat;

શેષ નાગ લિપટાવત, ઓઢત મૃગછાલા॥

Shesh Naag winds about you, and you wear a deerskin.

કાશી મેં વિરાજે વિશ્વનાથ, નન્દી બ્રહ્મચારી।

In Kashi you sit as Vishwanath, with Nandi, the brahmachari, before you;

નિત ઉઠ દર્શન પાવત, મહિમા અતિ ભારી॥

those who rise each day and come for your darshan know how great your glory is.

ત્રિગુણ શિવ જી કી આરતી જો કોઈ નર ગાવે।

Whoever sings this aarti of Shiv ji, who holds the three gunas,

કહત શિવાનંદ સ્વામી મનવાંછિત ફલ પાવે॥

says Swami Shivanand, gains the fruit their heart desires.
