Your form is like gold, and a red garment adorns You.
raktapushp gal maalaa, kanthan par saajai.
A garland of red flowers is set about Your throat.
kehari vaahan raajat, khadg khappar dhaaree.
The lion is Your mount; You bear the sword and the khappar.
sur-nar munijan sevat, tinake duhkhahaaree.
Devas, men and sages serve You, and You take away their sorrow.
kaanan kundal shobhit, naasaagre motee.
Earrings shine at Your ears, and a pearl at the tip of Your nose.
kotik chandr divaakar, raajat sam jyoti.
Your radiance equals that of ten million moons and suns.
shumbh-nishumbh bidaare, mahishaasur ghaatee.
You destroyed Shumbha and Nishumbha, and slew Mahishasura.
dhoomr vilochan nainaa, nishidin madamaatee.
With Your eyes You felled Dhumralochana; night and day You are rapt in divine ecstasy.
chand-mund sanhaare, shonit beej hare.
You slew Chanda and Munda, and put an end to Raktabija.
madhu-kaitabh dou maare, sur bhayaheen kare.
You slew both Madhu and Kaitabha, and freed the devas from fear.
brahmaanee rudraanee tum kamalaa raanee.
You are Brahmani, You are Rudrani, You are Kamala the queen.
aagam nigam bakhaanee, tum shiv pataraanee.
The Agamas and the Nigamas sing Your praise; You are the chief queen of Shiv ji.
chaunsath yoginee mangal gaavat, nrity karat bhairoon.

The cymbals and the mridang sound, and the damaru with them.

Men and women who serve You receive the fruit their hearts desire.
