शमी शमयते पापं शमी लोहितकण्टका।

śamī śamayate pāpaṁ śamī lohitakaṇṭakā.

The shami quiets what was done wrong; the shami of the red thorns,

धारिण्यर्जुनबाणानां रामस्य प्रियवादिनी॥

dhāriṇyarjunabāṇānāṁ rāmasya priyavādinī.

bearer of Arjuna's arrows, and dear to the word of Ram ji.

करिष्यमाणयात्रायां यथाकालं सुखं मया।

kariṣyamāṇayātrāyāṁ yathākālaṁ sukhaṁ mayā.

In the journey I am about to make, in its own time and in comfort,

तत्र निर्विघ्नकर्त्री त्वं भव श्रीरामपूजिते॥

tatra nirvighnakartrī tvaṁ bhava śrīrāmapūjite.

be the one who clears the way, O tree whom Ram ji himself gave puja.
