ॐ सिंहस्कन्धाधिरूढां नानालङ्कारभूषिताम्।
चतुर्भुजां महादेवीं नागयज्ञोपवीतिनीम्॥
oṁ siṁhaskandhādhirūḍhāṁ nānālaṅkārabhūṣitām. caturbhujāṁ mahādevīṁ nāgayajñopavītinīm.
Om. She who is seated upon the lion's shoulders, adorned with many ornaments, four-armed, the great Devi, wearing a serpent as Her sacred cord;
शङ्खशार्ङ्गसमायुक्तवामपाणिद्वयान्विताम्।
चक्रञ्च पञ्चबाणांश्च धारयन्तीञ्च दक्षिणे॥
śaṅkhaśārṅgasamāyuktavāmapāṇidvayānvitām. cakrañca pañcabāṇāṁśca dhārayantīñca dakṣiṇe.
in Her two left hands the conch and the bow; in Her right hands She holds the discus and the five arrows;
रक्तवस्त्रपरीधानां बालार्कसदृशीतनुम्।
नारदाद्यैर्मुनिगणैः सेवितां भवसुन्दरीम्॥
raktavastraparīdhānāṁ bālārkasadr̥śītanum. nāradādyairmunigaṇaiḥ sevitāṁ bhavasundarīm.
clothed in red, Her form like the rising sun, served by Narada and the sages, the most beautiful in the world;
त्रिवलीवलयोपेतनाभिनालमृणालिनीम्।
रत्नद्वीपे महाद्वीपे सिंहासनसमन्विते॥
trivalīvalayopetanābhinālamr̥ṇālinīm. ratnadvīpe mahādvīpe siṁhāsanasamanvite.
Her waist graced with three soft folds, the line to Her navel like a lotus stem; on a throne on the great island of jewels,
प्रफुल्लकमलारूढां ध्यायेत्तां भवगेहिनीम्॥
praphullakamalārūḍhāṁ dhyāyettāṁ bhavagehinīm.
seated on a lotus in full bloom — Her, the mistress of the world's house, we hold in mind.
