śrī govardhana mahārāja, o mahārāja,

Shri Govardhan Maharaj, O Maharaj,

tere māthe mukuṭa virāja raheo.

A crown shines upon Your brow.

tope pāna caḍhe tope phūla caḍhe,

Paan is offered to You, flowers are offered to You,

tope caḍhe dūdha kī dhāra.

and a stream of milk is poured over You.

terī sāta kosa kī parikammā,

Your parikrama runs seven kos,

cakaleśvara hai viśrāma.

and Chakleshwar is its resting place.

tere gale meṁ kaṇṭhā sāja raheo,

A necklace adorns Your throat,

ṭhoḍī pe hīrā lāla.

a diamond and a ruby on Your chin.

tere kānana kuṇḍala camaka raheo,

Kundals shine in Your ears,

terī jhām̐kī banī viśāla.

and Your darshan is grand to behold.

girirāja dharaṇa prabhu terī śaraṇa,

O Prabhu who held up Giriraj, I come to Your shelter;

karo bhakta kā beḍā pāra.

carry Your bhakt safely across.
