మాతు లక్ష్మీ కరి కృపా కరో హృదయ మేం వాస।
మనోకామనా సిద్ధ కర పురవహు మేరీ ఆస॥

Mother Lakshmi, shower Your grace, make Your abode in my heart, fulfil all my desires, and satisfy my hopes.

సింధు సుతా విష్ణుప్రియే నత శిర బారంబార।
ఋద్ధి సిద్ధి మంగలప్రదే నత శిర బారంబార॥

O daughter of the ocean, beloved consort of Vishnu ji and granter of prosperity, spiritual accomplishment, and auspiciousness, I bow my head before You again and again.

యహీ మోర అరదాస, హాథ జోడ వినతీ కరూం।
సబ విధి కరౌ సువాస, జయ జనని జగదంబికా॥

This alone is my earnest prayer with folded hands: bless my dwelling with all manner of goodness and sanctity, victory to You, O Mother of the universe!

సిన్ధు సుతా మైం సుమిరౌం తోహీ।
జ్ఞాన బుద్ధి విద్యా దో మోహి॥

I holds in dhyan You, O daughter of the ocean; please bestow upon me knowledge, intellect, and spiritual wisdom.

తుమ సమాన నహిం కోఈ ఉపకారీ।
సబ విధి పురబహు ఆస హమారీ॥

There is no benefactor equal to You, so kindly fulfil my hopes and aspirations in every way.

జై జై జగత జనని జగదమ్బా।
సబకే తుమహీ హో స్వలమ్బా॥

All victory to You, Mother of creation and Jagadamba, who are the sole refuge and support of all living beings.

తుమ హీ హో ఘట ఘట కే వాసీ।
వినతీ యహీ హమారీ ఖాసీ॥

You abide within every single heart, and this is my special supplication unto You.

జగ జననీ జయ సిన్ధు కుమారీ।
దీనన కీ తుమ హో హితకారీ॥

Victory to the Mother of the world and maiden of the ocean, who always works for the welfare of the poor and humble.

వినవౌం నిత్య తుమహిం మహారానీ।
కృపా కరౌ జగ జనని భవానీ॥

I pray unto You daily, O Supreme Queen and Cosmic Mother Bhavani, to bestow Your boundless mercy upon me.

కేహి విధి స్తుతి కరౌం తిహారీ।
సుధి లీజై అపరాధ బిసారీ॥

How could I ever adequately sing Your praises; please forgive all my transgressions and take me under Your care.

కృపా దృష్టి చితవో మమ ఓరీ।
జగత జనని వినతీ సున మోరీ॥

Turn Your compassionate gaze toward me, O Mother of the cosmos, and hear my heartfelt prayer.

జ్ఞాన బుద్ధి జయ సుఖ కీ దాతా।
సంకట హరో హమారీ మాతా॥

You are the bestower of knowledge, wisdom, and joy; O Divine Mother, banish all our perils and suffering.

క్షీర సింధు జబ విష్ణు మథాయో।
చౌదహ రత్న సింధు మేం పాయో॥

When the ocean of milk was churned by Vishnu ji and the gods, fourteen precious gems emerged from its depths.

చౌదహ రత్న మేం తుమ సుఖరాసీ।
సేవా కియో ప్రభుహిం బని దాసీ॥

Among those fourteen treasures You appeared as the treasury of bliss, serving the supreme being as a devoted consort.

జబ జబ జన్మ జహాం ప్రభు లీన్హా।
రూప బదల తహం సేవా కీన్హా॥

Whenever and wherever Vishnu ji took incarnation, You adapted Your divine form to serve Him there.

స్వయం విష్ణు జబ నర తను ధారా।
లీన్హేఉ అవధపురీ అవతారా॥

When Vishnu ji assumed human form and incarnated in the holy city of Ayodhya,

తబ తుమ ప్రకట జనకపుర మాహీం।
సేవా కియో హృదయ పులకాహీం॥

You manifested in Janakpur and served Him with a joyous and enraptured heart.

అపనాయో తోహి అన్తర్యామీ।
విశ్వ విదిత త్రిభువన కీ స్వామీ॥

Vishnu ji, who knows all and is master of the three worlds, embraced You as His eternal partner, a truth known throughout the cosmos.

తుమ సబ ప్రబల శక్తి నహిం ఆనీ।
కహం తక మహిమా కహౌం బఖానీ॥

There is no divine power that matches Your immense potency; how far could I possibly recount or describe Your glory?

మన క్రమ వచన కరై సేవకాఈ।
మన- ఇచ్ఛిత వాంఛిత ఫల పాఈ॥

Whoever serves You with purity in thought, deed, and speech attains the fulfillment of all their heartfelt desires.

తజి ఛల కపట ఔర చతురాఈ।
పూజహిం వివిధ భాంతి మన లాఈ॥

Abandoning deceit, pretense, and cunning, those who keep you offer puja to You with single-minded love in diverse ways.

ఔర హాల మైం కహౌం బుఝాఈ।
జో యహ పాఠ కరే మన లాఈ॥

Now I explain the merits obtained by anyone who recites this sacred Chalisa with focused devotion.

తాకో కోఈ కష్ట న హోఈ।
మన ఇచ్ఛిత ఫల పావై ఫల సోఈ॥

No affliction or distress shall trouble that person, and they will receive the very fruits desired in their heart.

త్రాహి- త్రాహి జయ దుఃఖ నివారిణీ।
త్రివిధ తాప భవ బంధన హారిణి॥

Save and protect us, O dispeller of distress, who removes the three kinds of worldly afflictions and severs the bonds of mundane existence.

జో యహ చాలీసా పఢే ఔర పఢావే।
ఇసే ధ్యాన లగాకర సునే సునావై॥

Whoever recites or teaches this Chalisa, or attentively listens to it and recites it to others,

తాకో కోఈ న రోగ సతావై।
పుత్ర ఆది ధన సమ్పత్తి పావై॥

Will never be plagued by debilitating ailments and shall be blessed with progeny, prosperity, and wealth.

పుత్ర హీన ఔర సమ్పత్తి హీనా।
అన్ధా బధిర కోఢీ అతి దీనా॥

Even if one is childless, impoverished, blind, deaf, diseased, or utterly wretched,

విప్ర బోలాయ కై పాఠ కరావై।
శంకా దిల మేం కభీ న లావై॥

If they invite a devout priest to recite this scripture without harboring any doubt in their heart,

పాఠ కరావై దిన చాలీసా।
తా పర కృపా కరైం గౌరీసా॥

And maintain this recitation for forty days, Shiv ji and Devi Gauri will shower their divine blessings upon them.

సుఖ సమ్పత్తి బహుత సీ పావై।
కమీ నహీం కాహూ కీ ఆవై॥

That person attains abundant joy and affluence, never suffering from any lack in life.

బారహ మాస కరై జో పూజా।
తేహి సమ ధన్య ఔర నహిం దూజా॥

Whoever offers puja faithfully throughout all twelve months of the year is blessed beyond measure, with none equal to them in fortune.

ప్రతిదిన పాఠ కరై మన మాహీం।
ఉన సమ కోఈ జగ మేం నాహిం॥

There is no one in this world comparable to the blessed soul who recites this prayer in their heart every day.

బహు విధి క్యా మైం కరౌం బడాఈ।
లేయ పరీక్షా ధ్యాన లగాఈ॥

How much more can I praise its greatness; one can test and experience its power by in dhyan with dedication.

కరి విశ్వాస కరైం వ్రత నేమా।
హోయ సిద్ధ ఉపజై ఉర ప్రేమా॥

By keeping firm faith and observing spiritual disciplines, all endeavors succeed and divine love wells up within the heart.

జయ జయ జయ లక్ష్మీ మహారానీ।
సబ మేం వ్యాపిత జో గుణ ఖానీ॥

Victory, all victory to Empress Lakshmi, the boundless mine of virtues who pervades every part of creation.

తుమ్హరో తేజ ప్రబల జగ మాహీం।
తుమ సమ కోఉ దయాల కహూం నాహీం॥

Your radiant splendour reigns supreme over all the worlds, and there is no one as merciful as You anywhere.

మోహి అనాథ కీ సుధి అబ లీజై।
సంకట కాటి భక్తి మోహి దీజే॥

Please attend to this helpless orphan, eradicate all my afflictions, and grant me steadfast devotional surrender.

భూల చూక కరీ క్షమా హమారీ।
దర్శన దీజై దశా నిహారీ॥

Forgive all my errors and omissions, look upon my humble condition, and bless me with Your divine vision.

బిన దరశన వ్యాకుల అధికారీ।
తుమహిం అక్షత దుఃఖ సహతే భారీ॥

Without Your sight this true servant is distressed, suffering heavy sorrow despite Your perpetual presence.

నహిం మోహిం జ్ఞాన బుద్ధి హై తన మేం।
సబ జానత హో అపనే మన మేం॥

I possess neither wisdom nor profound intellect within me, yet You know all things within Your omniscient heart.

రూప చతుర్భుజ కరకే ధారణ।
కష్ట మోర అబ కరహు నివారణ॥

Revealing Your divine four-armed form, please dispel and resolve all my hardships.

కహి ప్రకార మైం కరౌం బడాఈ।
జ్ఞాన బుద్ధి మోహిం నహిం అధికాఈ॥

In what words could I ever extol Your majesty, when I have neither great knowledge nor intellect?

రామదాస అబ కహాఈ పుకారీ।
కరో దూర తుమ విపతి హమారీ॥

Ramdas cries out and appeals unto You: please cast away all our calamities!

త్రాహి త్రాహి దుఃఖ హారిణీ హరో బేగి సబ త్రాస।
జయతి జయతి జయ లక్ష్మీ కరో శత్రున కా నాశ॥

Deliver us, O remover of sorrow, quickly banish all our dread and suffering; victory, victory to Devi Lakshmi, destroy all our internal and external enemies.

రామదాస ధరి ధ్యాన నిత వినయ కరత కర జోర।
మాతు లక్ష్మీ దాస పర కరహు దయా కీ కోర॥
