ધવલ કમલ દલ મમ તનુ સજે, લખી શત શરદ ચન્દ્ર છવિ લજાઈ॥

વહાં મકર વિમલ શુચી સોહેં, અમિયા કલશ કર લખી મન મોહેં॥

જદિતા રત્ના કંચન આભૂષણ, હિય મણિ હર, હરાનિતમ દૂષણ॥

જગ પાવની ત્રય તાપ નાસવની, તરલ તરંગ તુંગ મન ભાવની॥

જો ગણપતિ અતિ પૂજ્ય પ્રધાન, ઇહૂં તે પ્રથમ ગંગા અસ્નાના॥

તીરથ રાજ પ્રયાગ અક્ષૈવેતા, ધરયો માતુ પુનિ કાશી કરવત॥

વર્ષ પર્યંત ગંગ મહારાની, રહીં શમ્ભૂ કે જટા ભુલાની॥
For a whole year, Queen Ganga remained there She wandered lost within Shiva's matted hair.
પુનિ ભાગીરથી શંભુહિં ધ્યાયો, તબ ઇક બૂંદ જટા સે પાયો॥
Then Bhagirath meditated upon Shiv ji again Then he received just a single drop from those locks.
તાતે માતુ ભઇ ત્રય ધારા, મૃત્યુ લોક, નાભા, અરુ પાતારા॥
From that, the Mother split into three streams Flowing to the mortal realm, the heavens, and the netherworld.
ગઈં પાતાલ પ્રભાવતી નામા, મન્દાકિની ગઈ ગગન લલામા॥
She went to the netherworld under the name Prabhavati As Mandakini, she became the beauty of the heavens.
મૃત્યુ લોક જાહ્નવી સુહાવની, કલિમલ હરની અગમ જગ પાવનિ॥

ધનિ મઇયા તબ મહિમા ભારી, ધર્મં ધુરી કલિ કલુષ કુઠારી॥

માતુ પ્રભવતિ ધનિ મંદાકિની, ધનિ સુર સરિત સકલ ભયનાસિની॥

મહા પતિત જિન કહૂ ન તારે, તિન તારે ઇક નામ તિહારે॥

શત યોજન હૂં સે જો ધ્યાવહિં, નિશચાઈ વિષ્ણુ લોક પદ પાવહીં॥
Even those who holds in dhyan you from a hundred yojanas away Will certainly attain a place in the realm of Vishnu ji.
નામ ભજત અગણિત અઘ નાશૈ, વિમલ જ્ઞાન બલ બુદ્ધિ પ્રકાશે॥
Reciting your name destroys countless sins It illuminates pure knowledge, strength, and intellect.
જિમી ધન મૂલ ધર્મં અરુ દાના, ધર્મં મૂલ ગંગાજલ પાના॥

તબ ગુન ગુણન કરત દુખ ભાજત, ગૃહ ગૃહ સમ્પતિ સુમતિ વિરાજત॥

ગંગહિ નેમ સહિત નિત ધ્યાવત, દુર્જનહૂં સજ્જન પદ પાવત॥

બુદ્ધિહીન વિદ્યા બલ પાવૈ, રોગી રોગ મુક્ત હ્વૈ જાવૈ॥

ગંગા ગંગા જો નર કહહીં, ભૂખા નંગા કબહૂં ન રહહીં॥
The person who repeatedly recites the name of Ganga Will never remain hungry or destitute.
નિકસત હી મુખ ગંગા માઈ, શ્રવણ દાબી યમ ચલહિં પરાઈ॥
