Perform the aarti of Hanuman, the beloved child,
duṣṭa dalana raghunātha kalā kī.
Crusher of the wicked, the power of Ram ji.
jāke bala se girivara kām̐pe.
At whose strength the great mountains tremble;
roga doṣa jāke nikaṭa na jhām̐ke.
sickness and fault dare not come near him.
aṁjani putra mahā baladāī.
Son of Anjani, giver of great strength,
saṁtana ke prabhu sadā sahāī.
Master of the saints, always their help.
de bīrā raghunātha paṭhāe.
Charged by Ram ji, he set out;
laṁkā jāri siyā sudhi lāe.
he burned Lanka and brought back news of Sita.
laṁkā so koṭa samudra sī khāī.
Lanka a fortress, the ocean its moat;
jāta pavanasuta bāra na lāī.
the son of the Wind crossed it without delay.
laṁkā jāri asura saṁhāre.
He burned Lanka and slew the asuras;
siyārāmajī ke kāja sam̐vāre.
he set right the work of Sita and Rama.
lakṣmaṇa mūrchita paḍe sakāre.
Lakshman lay unconscious at dawn;
āni saṁjīvana prāṇa ubāre.
he brought the Sanjivani and saved his life.
paiṭhi pātāla tori jama-kāre.
He entered the netherworld and broke the fetters of death;
ahirāvana kī bhujā ukhāre.
he tore off Ahiravana's arms.
bāem̐ bhujā asura dala māre.
With his left arm he struck down the asura host;
dāhine bhujā saṁtajana tāre.
with his right he carried the saints across.
sura nara muni āratī utāreṁ.
Gods, men and sages perform his aarti;
jaya jaya jaya hanumāna ucāreṁ.
"Jai, jai, jai Hanuman," they cry.
kaṁcana thāra kapūra lau chāī.
On a golden plate the camphor flame glows;
āratī karata aṁjanā māī.
Mother Anjana performs the aarti.
jo hanumānajī kī āratī gāve.
Whoever sings this aarti of Hanuman ji
basi baikuṁṭha parama pada pāve.
dwells in Vaikuntha and attains the highest state.
