एहि सूर्य सहस्रांशो तेजोराशे जगत्पते।
Come, O Surya Dev — You of a thousand rays, treasury of light, keeper of the world —
अनुकम्पय मां भक्त्या गृहाणार्घ्यं दिवाकर॥
have compassion on me, and take this arghya, given with bhakti, O Divakara.

जपाकुसुमसंकाशं काश्यपेयं महाद्युतिम्।
Red as the hibiscus flower, the son of Kashyapa, of great brilliance,
तमोऽरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोऽस्मि दिवाकरम्॥
the foe of darkness, who takes away every sin — to Divakara I bow.
