असुरासृग्वसापङ्कचर्चितस्ते करोज्ज्वलः।
asurāsr̥gvasāpaṅkacarcitaste karojjvalaḥ.
Bright in Your hand, and smeared with the blood and fat of the asuras —
शुभाय खड्गो भवतु चण्डिके त्वां नता वयम्॥
śubhāya khaḍgo bhavatu caṇḍike tvāṁ natā vayam.
let that sword be for our good, O Chandika. We bow to You.
