nāgendrahārāya trilocanāya bhasmāṅgarāgāya maheśvarāya .
To him whose garland is the king of serpents, the three-eyed, his body smeared with bhasma, the great lord;
nityāya śuddhāya digambarāya tasmai nakārāya namaḥ śivāya .
the eternal, the pure, clothed only in the directions — to him, the syllable na, salutations: namah shivaya.
mandākinīsalilacandanacarcitāya nandīśvarapramathanāthamaheśvarāya .
To him anointed with the water of the Mandakini and with chandan, the great lord of Nandi and the pramathas;
mandārapuṣpabahupuṣpasupūjitāya tasmai makārāya namaḥ śivāya .
honoured with mandara flowers and many more — to him, the syllable ma, salutations: namah shivaya.
śivāya gaurīvadanābjavr̥ndasūryāya dakṣādhvaranāśakāya .
To Shiva, the sun to the lotus of Gauri's face, who brought Daksha's yagya to an end;
śrīnīlakaṇṭhāya vr̥ṣadhvajāya tasmai śikārāya namaḥ śivāya .
the blue-throated, whose banner bears the bull — to him, the syllable shi, salutations: namah shivaya.
vasiṣṭhakumbhodbhavagautamāryamunīndradevārcitaśekharāya .
To him whose crown is honoured by Vasishtha, Agastya, Gautama and the noblest sages, and by the devas;
candrārkavaiśvānaralocanāya tasmai vakārāya namaḥ śivāya .
whose eyes are the moon, the sun and fire — to him, the syllable va, salutations: namah shivaya.
yakṣasvarūpāya jaṭādharāya pinākahastāya sanātanāya .
To him who took the form of a yaksha, who wears the matted locks, the Pinaka bow in his hand, the eternal;
divyāya devāya digambarāya tasmai yakārāya namaḥ śivāya .
the shining deva, clothed in the directions — to him, the syllable ya, salutations: namah shivaya.
pañcākṣaramidaṁ puṇyaṁ yaḥ paṭhecchivasannidhau .
Whoever reads this Panchakshara, full of merit, near Shiv ji,
śivalokamavāpnoti śivena saha modate .
reaches Shiv ji's world and rejoices with him.
