oṁ jaya lakṣmī mātā, maiyā jaya lakṣmī mātā.
Om, victory to Mother Lakshmi; Mother, victory to Mother Lakshmi.
tumako niśidina sevata hara viṣṇu vidhātā.
Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma serve you night and day.
umā ramā brahmāṇī tuma hī jaga mātā.
Uma, Rama, Brahmani — you alone are the mother of the world;
sūrya caṁdramā dhyāvata nārada r̥ṣi gātā.
the Sun and Moon meditate on you, the sage Narada sings.
durgā rūpa niraṁjanī sukha sampatti dātā.
In Durga's form, spotless, giver of joy and plenty;
jo koī tumako dhyāvata r̥ddhi-siddhi dhana pātā.
whoever meditates on you gains prosperity, attainment and wealth.
tuma pātāla nivāsinī tuma hī śubhadātā.
You dwell in the depths; you alone give what is good;
karma prabhāva prakāśinī bhavanidhi kī trātā.
you reveal the fruit of deeds, saviour from the ocean of birth.
jisa ghara tuma rahatī taham̐ saba sadguṇa ātā.
In the house where you dwell, every virtue comes;
saba sambhava ho jātā mana nahīṁ ghabarātā.
everything becomes possible, the mind does not fear.
tuma bina yajña na hote vastra na koī pātā.
Without you no sacrifice is done, no cloth is woven;
khāna pāna kā vaibhava saba tumase ātā.
all the plenty of food and drink comes from you.
śubha guṇa maṁdira suṁdara kṣīrodadhi jātā.
Temple of good qualities, lovely, born of the ocean of milk;
ratna caturdaśa tuma bina koī nahīṁ pātā.
without you no one gains the fourteen jewels.
mahālakṣmījī kī āratī jo koī nara gātā.
Whoever sings this aarti of Mahalakshmi,
ura ānaṁda samātā pāpa utara jātā.
joy fills their heart and their sins fall away.
