శ్రీ విరంచి కులభూషణ, యమపుర కే ధామీ।

Jewel of Brahma ji's line, dweller in Yama's city,

పుణ్య పాప కే లేఖక, చిత్రగుప్త స్వామీ॥

writer of every good and every wrong deed — Chitragupta Swami.

సీస ముకుట, కానోం మేం కుణ్డల అతి సోహే।

A crown on His head, earrings shining in His ears;

శ్యామవర్ణ శశి సా ముఖ, సబకే మన మోహే॥

dark of hue, His face like the moon, He wins every heart.

భాల తిలక సే భూషిత, లోచన సువిశాలా।

His brow adorned with the tilak, His eyes wide and fine;

శంఖ సరీఖీ గరదన, గలే మేం మణిమాలా॥

His neck like a conch, a string of gems at His throat.

అర్ధ శరీర జనేఊ, లంబీ భుజా ఛాజై।

The janeu across His body, His long arms graceful;

కమల దవాత హాథ మేం, పాదుక పరా భ్రాజే॥

the lotus and the inkpot in His hands, sandals shining at His feet.

నృప సౌదాస అనర్థీ, థా అతి బలవాలా।

King Saudas, a doer of wrong, was a man of great might;

ఆపకీ కృపా ద్వారా, సురపుర పగ ధారా॥

by Your grace he set foot in the city of the devas.

భక్తి భావ సే యహ ఆరతీ జో కోఈ గావే।

Whoever sings this aarti with devotion

మనవాంఛిత ఫల పాకర సద్గతి పావే॥

receives what the heart desires, and reaches the good state.
