Pashupati, store of mercy — a throne set with jewels, a bath of cool water, heavenly cloth bright with many gems, sandal touched with musk, an offering of jasmine and champak and bel leaf, incense and the diya: take all of this, made in the heart.

In a gold dish inlaid with new jewels: kheer rich with ghee, five kinds of food with milk and curd, plantain, sherbet, many greens, sweet water made clear and scented with camphar, and paan — all of it I have made in the mind and offer with love. Shiv ji, accept it.

A parasol, two chamaras, a fan, a clear mirror; the vina, the bheri, the mridanga and the kahala, song and dance; the full prostration and praise of many kinds — all of this I offer you by sankalp. Shiv ji, accept this puja.

Shambhu — you are my self, my understanding is Girija, my breaths your companions, my body your house; every enjoyment of sense is your puja, sleep is samadhi, my walking is the circling of you, and all my words are your stotras. Whatever act I do, the whole of it is your worship.

Whatever wrong I have done by hand or foot, by speech or body, by act, by ear or eye or mind; whether laid down or not laid down — forgive it all. Victory, victory, ocean of mercy, Mahadev Shambhu.
