How to do the Tulsi Vivah puja at home
Tulsi Maa is married to Shaligram ji at dusk, and given away by the family. About 75 minutes.
Every step is named here and the first 3 are given whole. The whole puja, every mantra with its meaning, is in the Kalava app.
The fuller wedding: the achaman, dhoop and diya, paan and dakshina, the Tulsi stotram, the second aarti, the pradakshina, the kshama prarthana and the bride's things given away. About an hour and a half.

The morning
The sankalp of the vrat
- Whoever will give Tulsi Maa's kanyadaan this evening sits before the tulsi with a little water in the right palm.
- Say in your own words that you will keep the vrat today and give Tulsi Maa in marriage to Shaligram ji at dusk.
- Let the water fall at the root of the tulsi.
Whoever gives the kanyadaan keeps the day's vrat until it is given; the rest of the house keeps it if it wishes.

The morning
Rangoli and torans
- Draw rangoli at the place of the puja and at the doors of the house.
- Hang a toran of mango or ashoka leaves and marigolds on the main door.

- The sugarcane mandap
