Krittika
Agni, the sacred fire · a razor, or a flame
Born with Chandra in Krittika, Agni's star, you have fire in you — a commanding presence, quick decisions and a sharp tongue when crossed. In the Mesha quarter it shows as drive and courage, made for the forces, the police, surgery and industry; in the three Vrishabha quarters it softens into warmth, hospitality and a flair for the arts, jewels and trade. Surya-ruled, you do best where you can lead and be seen, and Government and large institutions often favour you. Watch the temper and the appetite: Krittika eats well and speaks sharply, and both need a rein.
The four padas
Pada 1 — Dhanu navamsha (Guru); names begin with A (अ). The Mesha quarter — robust, commanding and competitive; KP gives it the forces, the police, surgery and chemicals, and, with Chandra here, the navy.
Pada 2 — Makara navamsha (Shani); names begin with I (ई). Sociable and generous; KP's Guru sub brings jewels and fine dress, music and decoration, international trade and tax work.
Pada 3 — Kumbha navamsha (Shani); names begin with U (उ). Creative and business-minded; KP names drawing, drafting and sculpture, broking, valuation and pharmaceutical sales.
Pada 4 — Meena navamsha (Guru); names begin with E (ए). Popular and prosperous; KP's Shukra sub favours poets and artists, dance and music, silk, decoration and favour from Government.
Health
Fevers and the eyes: sharp fevers, cuts and burns in the Mesha quarter; the throat, neck and tonsils in the Vrishabha quarters (sore throats, swellings above the neck). Take care around fire and sharp tools, and see a doctor for anything persistent.
