Ashwini
the Ashwini Kumars, twin healers of the gods · a horse's head
Born with Chandra in Ashwini, the star of the twin healers, you are quick to start and quick to help — clever, liked, fond of good things and well turned out. You work best at speed and in the first push: medicine and surgery, machinery and railways, the police and the forces all suit this Ketu-ruled star in Mangal's sign. Money can leave as quickly as it comes, and land and family property — shares with a brother above all — are where old worries gather, so settle such matters early and in writing. When the mind races, this star turns naturally to Ganesh ji, Subramanya or Hanuman ji.
The four padas
Pada 1 — Mesha navamsha (Mangal), vargottama; names begin with Chu (चू). The purest Ashwini — quick, fearless and first off the mark; KP points this quarter to service, industry, railways and horses. Its first minutes are the Revati–Ashwini gandanta.
Pada 2 — Vrishabha navamsha (Shukra); names begin with Che (चे). Steadier and more practical; KP ties it to industry, the police and running your own concern — and to worries over land and farming.
Pada 3 — Mithuna navamsha (Budh); names begin with Cho (चो). The thinking, talking quarter; KP's Guru sub here makes factory managers, bank agents, temple-trust officers and judges.
Pada 4 — Karka navamsha (Chandra); names begin with La (ला). The feeling, home-loving quarter; KP leans it to engineering, iron and steel, supervising work, and dealing in land and buildings.
Health
The head and brain: headaches (often on one side), fevers, knocks to the head and poor sleep. Protect the head in sport and on the road, keep regular sleep and have your blood pressure checked. See a doctor for anything persistent.
