    Fruit and milk through the day, or water alone, as you took the sankalp. Bathe before the evening. The night is the puja.

    Water in the right palm. Say the sankalp, or read it. Let the water fall.

    Over the shivling, in turn: milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar — the panchamrit — and water between each. A thin, steady stream. In the first prahar; again in each if you keep the night.

    A small shivling of any stone or metal; a lota with a spout for the stream. The panchamrit is collected below and taken as prasad.
