How to do the Lalita Panchami puja at home
Lalita Devi's vrat on the fifth day of Navratri: the lid of a karanda (करंड्याचे झाकण) as the Devi, forty-eight durva, and a night of katha and jagran. About 60 minutes.
Every step is named here and the first 3 are given whole. The whole puja, every mantra with its meaning, is in the Kalava app.
Every offering to the lid, one by one, with the Lalita Sahasranama's dhyana; the Lalita Chalisa at the jagran; the udyapan next morning. About an hour at midday.

Morning · the datun and the bath
7:43 AM–9:56 AM · ColumbusAfter sunrise: the aghada datun, a twig at a time with its verse, then the bath and white clothes. The vrat begins here.
Morning
Prarthana to Lalita Devi, before the datun
In the Skanda Purana's form, a prayer is first made to the Devi.
- Hold the aghada twigs in your right hand, and fold your hands over them.
- Pray to Lalita Devi that She remain pleased with you always, as you clean your teeth with the aghada. Where the prayer's words are not known, say it in your own.

Morning
The aghada datun
- Early in the morning, take twenty-one aghada (आघाडा) twigs, picked the day before. In the Skanda Purana's form, forty-eight, or eight.
- Take them one at a time: with each, say the verse, chew its end soft, and clean your teeth with it.
- Rinse your mouth well with clean water.
The vrat begins with the aghada, the apamarga: in Marathi homes and in the Sanskrit vidhi alike, the day opens with it.
