  1. The vrat

    Fruit and milk until midnight, or as you took the sankalp. No grain today. The house is decorated by day.

  2. The jhula

    Dress the jhula with flowers and a small cloth. Laddu Gopal waits in his old clothes until the birth. The new clothes, the mukut and the flute laid beside.

    Any small swing, or a cloth slung between two chairs. Laddu Gopal is the child Krishna; a picture of him in the jhula is enough where there is no murti.
