How to do the Jagaddhatri Puja puja at home

The mangal ghat filled, the sankalp, the dhyana and the avahan, the offerings and the first anjali.

1. Sunrise

   Water for the mangal ghat

   1. Bathe before sunrise and put on clean clothes.
   2. Fill a brass or clay pot with clean water, with a little Ganga jal in it if you have it.
   3. Carry it in with both hands and set it down before the place where Jagaddhatri Maa will be seated.

   The day begins with the water of the mangal ghat; in Krishnanagar it is filled before dawn.

   

2. Sunrise

   Seated before Jagaddhatri Maa · achaman

   1. Sit on your asan facing Jagaddhatri Maa's murti, picture or the place of the ghat.
   2. Keep within reach the flowers, bel patra, durva, chandan, sindoor, dhoop, the diyas, the naivedya, water in a kosha, and the conch and bell.
   3. Sip water three times from the right palm, saying the achaman, and touch water to your eyes.

   यः स्मरेत् पुण्डरीकाक्षं स बाह्याभ्यन्तरः शुचिः॥yaḥ smaret puṇḍarīkākṣaṁ sa bāhyābhyantaraḥ śuciḥ.whoever remembers the lotus-eyed Vishnu is made pure, without and within.

   2. Fold your hands to the flame and say the diya's verse.
